John Breslin gave a presentation to the Galway Heritage Forum on July 12, 2006 about Wiki Ireland, which aims to use wiki technology to create an online knowledge store of Ireland's culture and heritage. He defined wikis as community-developed websites that allow users to freely create and edit page content and add hyperlinks using a simple text syntax from any web browser.
