To whom it may concern,
I, Christopher Walker, am applying for Marine Engineering Traineeship sea-time with
a shipping company.
As a Marine Engineering Trainee, it is required by AMSA that I must complete 36

able to put my current studies on hold for sea-time if need be.
All of my study so far has been self-funded.
I only require sea-time, as to date, I hold:

- Diploma of Marine Engineering Watchkeeper Part A and B
- STCW 95 Safety Training card
- AMSA Medical

Objectives
The panel beating industry has been slow and therefore I am ready for new challenges. After
considering many other career paths, the merchant maritime industry was a standout to me.
I am interested in finding a position as a Marine Engineer where I can use and expand my skills
set into new horizons and improve my knowledge.
I am currently enrolled and attending AMC, Tasmania, in Marine Engineering Class 1/2, and am
able to put my current studies on hold for sea-time if need be.
As a Marine Engineering Trainee, it is required by AMSA that I must complete 36 weeks of sea
service on a vessel of over 3000 kilowatts.
I believe that I will be of a great asset to the company, given my previous experiences in
workplace environments working as a team member, problem solving, and competency with
tools and equipment.
About Me
My character qualities include:
Respect and obedience to authority
Trustworthy and responsible
Determination and willingness to work and to learn new skills
Patience and able to work individually and as a team member
My interests:
Enjoy travelling and have travelled across Australia.

mechanical.
