4. In Mesh Topology every device has a
Point To Point link with every other
device on Network.

 Traffic problem can be avoided.
 If any one link gets damaged it could not affect
others.
Disadvantage
 Very expensive
 Can’t be used in WAN

6. In Star Topology every device is connected to a central
Main Computer Known as Server or Hub.

 Less expensive.
 Easy installation.
 If one device fails, others will not be affected.
Disadvantage
 Dependency on one central computer
 Large in size.

8. It is Multipoint, In which all the devices are connected
to a central cable known as Backbone.

 Ease of installation.
 Less cable is used.
Disadvantages
 Difficult reconfiguration and fault isolation.
 Difficult to add new devices.
 Dependency On Backbone.

10. In this Topology, each device has a dedicated
connection on either side, forming a Ring.

11. Advantages
 Easy Installation.
 Easy fault identification.
Disadvantages
 Unidirectional Traffic.
 Break in Ring could break entire network.

12. It is a Combination of Star and Bus Topology, and
the devices are connected in Hierarchal
Configuration.

13. Advantages
 Easy Installation and Maintenance.
 Compatible with all Devices.
Disadvantages
 Dependency on Servers.
 Dependency on Back Bone.
