2. Purpose
The students will learn
letter and number
recognition and phonemic
awareness through
audio,literature and hands-
on experiences.
3. Objectives
The Students will:
• become familiar with parts of the book.
• recognize letters and their sounds
• demonstrate fine motor skills through cutting,
pasting and play dough exploration.
• learn to make predictions.
• learn to listen and follow directions.
4. Technology/Software
• I selected to implement a power point because
it would be user friendly for my preschool
students.
• By simply clicking on the mouse the children
can view videos and play educational games.
• The power point can be used as a school and
home connection. It allows the families to see
what the students are learning and gives them
an opportunity to extend the child’s
knowledge.

The children can follow along with her during at the
activities the literacy center.

The children will work on letter and
sound recognition through song.
8. Alphabet Game
We will explore letter recognition by playing an internet game. I will model how to play
the game so that the children will be able to interact with during centers .

16. Art Fun
The children will demonstrate their fine motor, eye-
hand coordination, creativity and literacy skills.
• Have the children cut or
tear paper to create the
leaves, coconuts and trunk
of tree. Glue the pieces to
the construction paper.
• Select the letters you would
like to add to your coconut
tree.
17. Lets Make A Snack
This activity will teach the children literacy, math, health/nutrition, and creative
expression.
• 4 apple slices
