I. PRE-PRODUCTION
Pre-production will last a total of three days starting on May 16th and ending on May
19th 2017. The installation shall be shot at one location, which can be easily sourced on
the day of filming. In the meantime I will be hiring the rest of the crew we need by
talking to contacts I already have and completing the necessary pre-production
paperwork such as the proposal, budget, risk assessment and idea outlines. A script will
not be needed for production, as the video installation features no dialogue.
The equipment will be picked up on the day of the shoot and kept with the producer and
director. I intend to shoot the installation on a Lumix G, which will be purchased by
Chelsie Brandrick.
II. PRODUCTION
It will be the responsibility of the director and producer to ensure that the film is
recorded on time and within schedule. The shoot will begin and end on May 19th 2017. I
will work for a maximum of two hours on the day.
As the shots required for the piece will be filmed in one location and the camera will be
set up in one position, it will save valuable shooting time. The shots will be simple and I
will only need 4-5 actors to be present so the installation will be completed efficiently
and within the day allocated for filming.
III. POST-PRODUCTION
The edit of the installation will begin on May 22nd 2017 and will take two days to
complete. The edit will be done on a MacBook Pro using Final Cut Pro X.
The soundtrack will be sourced from a contact that provides copyright free music and
will be in the editors possession by the time the edit starts. The lay over clips used in the
edit will be sourced from the editor’s personal archive as well as from YouTube. The
final delivery of the installation should be expected by May 25th 2017, which leaves two
weeks before the deadline.

In total, the pre-production will take three days, production one day, and post-
production two days. Allowing a few days for contingencies the whole production
process for the installation piece will take less than a week.
