May 2017 Newsletter
1. Greetings!
Good SUNNY Morning! And it is supposed to
get WARM as well! Hooray!
If you missed the meetings about the new Station
Boulevard, which will connect Neely's Bend with
Old Hickory Blvd., you missed seeing what
exiting things are coming to the heart of
Madison! It's been 20 years in the making, but
this project is finally coming to fruition!
Business leaders, community members and
government officials all met at these initial
meeting to 'brainstorm' about what they want to
see on Station Boulevard. Now, with all these
great ideas, the planners--including landscape,
lighting, road, art, and more--will get together
and make another design to present to us. So
stay tuned for another community meeting!!
Right now, initial estimates are that construction
on this project will start in the summer of 2018.
