2. Musical style and popular artists The music style that I will be doing my media work on is R&B. I will cover different aspects of the R&B styles in which they have been portrayed in magazines and I will relate the magazine to match the style of the music. For instance R&B is known as soul music, and soul makes me think of smooth and soft things so this could help.
41. Q: In a male solo artist, why do you prfer to listen to Eminem? A: Eminem is real. He doesn’t rap about girls, drugs or sex like most artists who talk about it as if its a good thing. Eminem raps about his life, and life in general. When he raps about sex, girls and drugs he does it in a way people can relate because he knows lifes not easy. Many people can relate to it. He can be seen as a role model for males and a man girls fancy. He raps about his life and he shares it with the world.
42. Q: In a female solo artist, why do you prefer to listen to Beyonce? A: Beyonce is sexy. There’s no doubt about that. Boys take a large fancy to her because of her curves and voice. Females see her as a role model and inspirational. Girls enjoy her as she’s the diva of R&B. Her voice is very powerful and people say she suits the genre of music she sings as R&B can be considered black music. Beyonce appeals to both genders and is just great!
