Top 7 Habits To Make Yourself Successful In an
Organizations

“Do Not Give Them Fish. Teach Them How to Fish”.
We have been Entrepreneurs from the beginning of the
human race, but consequent to the Industrial
Revolution we have become Puppets of the System.
My first advice to any Corporate Executive is, Quit Your Job right
Now and Follow your Passion & Love. Be an Entrepreneur. We
are Born to be Entrepreneurs and Born with Entrepreneurship
Skills.
BUT: If you are determined to Strive for a
Successful Corporate career until you Retire,
then I Suggest You Foster these Seven 7
Habits First
1.Build Relationships - Everything
Revolves Around Relationships.
Build good rapport with the
“Social Connectors” of the
Organization. They are the most
influential people in the
Organization. They can reverse
or forward any decision of the
company. They do not carry
big Titles, but are Highly
Influential in corporate
decisions.
Build a healthy relationship with
your immediate Boss and also
your Bosses best Friends
within the company. NOT to get
favors, but to build strong
Links & a Safety net for you
Sometimes, your
Qualifications, Skills,
Abilities, Performances,
Productivity etc. are
second to the
Relationships built
within an Organization.
Make sure, You build a
Good Relationship
with Peers and
Managers in other
departments as well
This is the bitter truth
and the Reality. The
work that you do and
your achievements are
bubbled up to decision
makers based on your
relationships.Otherwise
Your Contribution in
the company will be
hidden in the shadows
even if your are an
Excellent Contributor.
2. Be Faithful- Faithfulness Carries You
a Long Way than You could Ever
Imagine.
If you are fired several
times in your carrier,
you may wonder
whether it is stupid to
be Faithful. But be
faithful until you are fired
again. This attitude will
give you benefits in your
career some where down
the line.
Do not be Blind in your
Faithfulness as it might
lead to Emotional
Issues
If you look at the TOP of the
Organization, You might find that
all are NOT Brilliant &
Extraordinary People. Some of
the guys at the TOP are the ones
who showed Faithfulness to the
Management during their
Employment.
Most bosses have job insecurity
issues, even though He / She is a
Linchpin in an organization.
Therefore Bosses love faithful
employees so that they can
delegate work responsibilities and
relieve themselves. No Boss
delegates any work if you NOT
Faithful.
When you decide to leave the
organization leave without
keeping any bad trails.
Faithfulness does not mean you
have to be in the same
company for a life time, but
until you leave you, You have
to be faithful.
The TOP of the Organization
plays a different Ball Game.
One back stabber can topple
an entire organization and
therefore organizations love
Faithful Workers
z
3.Be a Learner-Never Work Just to
Earn Money only, but to Gain
Experience
This should be your stream of
thought if you want to succeed
in your career.
“I go to my Office to Learn and
end of the moth I am paid
too.It is like I go to a
University and University
pays me at the end of the
Month. Learning is Free of
charge. Thank God about It”.
Learn your job quickly and then
learn the rest of the soft skills
to shine amongst the rest of
the staff.
The truth is , if you learn and
contribute to your organization,
and get tightly integrated, no
organization will let you leave
, no organization will wait
until you ask for a raise. They
will look after you in every
possible way as asset for the
company. This is the harsh
truth which some tend to not
understand.
Your Boss will fight with your
organization to keep you & give
everything possible as Boss
can not work without You.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m NOT
advocating you to NOT Earn Good
Money for the Good work that You
do but this is the Strategy if You
need a Good Compensation.
As you join an Organization, at the
interview, make sure you get the
Best Remuneration Plan
Possible.
You must Negotiate for a Good
Salary and Benefits at the
interview and NOT after that.
If you get a Raise or Bonus , it
should be considered as a Bonus
for you life. Never Work expecting
a Raise.
If you join an organization due to
a different reason other than
money, then keep that in mind
until you leave the company.
A lot of employees get
demotivated as they go along as
they can NOT remember why
they joined in the first place.
If you need a raise and they didn’t
give it, leave the organization. If
you were a good enough
employee , they would have
given you a raise before you
asked for it as organizations
motivate Good Workers.
4. Work Hard & Be Smart- Do NOT Stick to
Your Job Description only
There is no substitute for
working hard. If there is, let me
know too.
If you work Hard Enough then you
Discover how to work Smartly.
Otherwise you will never find ways
to work smart.
The main point is to work as hard as
possible so that You find new ways
to work smart.
If you are interested in only doing the
prescribed tasks and work like any
ordinary employee, then you have
to expect the same benefits and
same treatment like others which is
in my world is “Nothing”
Why would an organization
give you more or look after
you better than others
when you are doing the
same thing over and over
again. They could replace
you easily with another
person, may be even for a
lesser wage.
As I would put it “If you DO the
same thing over and over,
you GET the same thing over
and over”. This is the
universal truth.
5.Act as a Leader - Never ask for Promotions.
Work and Act as you have that Position
already.
We are in the era of Social Media and
we want to show our network that we
are making good progress in our
lives. For that we need Good Titles
at the end of our names and Good
materialistic things around us. That
is how we show our progress in life to
others. This is the world that we are
in today whether we are like it or
NOT. Let us all take a reality check.
If possible, We would love to have our
designation Changed every year to
something higher.
Statistics show that Flat
organizations do better in business
in the current era. Therefore
organizations are reluctant to create
big hierarchical structures.
If you need a promotion, act and
work as if you possess that Title or
Promotion.
Show that you are capable of
handling those duties before you
get the promotion.
Gone are the days when you get the
promotion before you show your
talents. First show your abilities
and make them promote you.
Never work aiming at a Promotion
as You will be demotivated if
You do not get that.
This is the latest trend. Show
you can take on the work and
you will get the title that you
deserve.
Do NOT work hard to get a title.
Just work hard to do your job
efficiently, and the titles will
follow you automatically.
If you build good relationships
and show your faithfulness,
your organization will delegate
a lot of work to you eventually
giving you the Title or
promotion that you deserved.
Bottom-line “Be a Leader”.
6. Be Thankful. Attitude of Gratitude Carries
You a Long Way than You could Ever Imagine
Be Thankful for Everything.
Foster an attitude of gratitude
towards everything you Do &
Receive in the organization.
Show your Thankfulness in
every possible way. You will
be amazed by the responses.
Don’t hold back in showing your
thankfulness by positive
posture, words and actions.
I personally practice giving a
thanking card in my own
handwriting to people that I
should be thankful for.
Send an email, give a firm
shank hand , give a thanking
card or do something special
when you need to show your
gratitude to others.
Attitude of Gratitude carries
you a long way NOT only in
your Job but Life itself. It is
a Universal Truth and Ritual.
7.Be a Yes Man - Never say NO unless it goes
against your Values.
Most of the time, You may not be
aware of your real potential or
skills that you are good at. A
Good Boss will give you
additional tasks to perform
when they recognize your
potential.
If the organization wants to test
your skills first, they might give an
outside task to perform so that
they can judge your abilities. If
you perform well, they will
understand that you can perform
those skills. Therefore never
refuse additional tasks when
you are called upon.
Truth is, organization gives more
work to people who are capable of
doing them. You may feel it a bit
unreasonable asking yourself
“Why Me” every time. It is due to
the law of 80/20, 20% of staff
contribute to 80% of the work. If
they recognize you within that 20%
bucket, you are considered special
and you should be happy about
it.
You should have the strength to
refuse any tasks that are against
you Values or Religious beliefs.
Explain the reason for refusal in a
positive manner so that the
Management understands it.
Most of the time, wealth
acquisition and your
successful career are a long
running process unless you
try to do those in a dirty
ways.
Very seldom do people acquire
wealth and a successful career
fast. Some may try but they
may lose all that is gathered
with the same speed.
You can NOT change the laws of
the Universe or laws of Human
Behavior
If You Want to Be a Successful Employee in an
Organization, Follow these Principals as the Ten
Commandments or Five Precepts In Religious
Beliefs.
In the End, We are all Human and Organizations
are collections of Humans. They Think, Behave
and Influence in the Exact Same Ways.
There is a candle in every soul. Some brightly burning
and some dark and cold. Take your candle and go
light up your world & Hold it up high for all to
Admire.

  • 5. BUT: If you are determined to Strive for a Successful Corporate career until you Retire, then I Suggest You Foster these Seven 7 Habits First
  • 6. 1.Build Relationships - Everything Revolves Around Relationships.
  • 7. Build good rapport with the “Social Connectors” of the Organization. They are the most influential people in the Organization. They can reverse or forward any decision of the company. They do not carry big Titles, but are Highly Influential in corporate decisions. Build a healthy relationship with your immediate Boss and also your Bosses best Friends within the company. NOT to get favors, but to build strong Links & a Safety net for you
  • 8. Sometimes, your Qualifications, Skills, Abilities, Performances, Productivity etc. are second to the Relationships built within an Organization. Make sure, You build a Good Relationship with Peers and Managers in other departments as well
  • 9. This is the bitter truth and the Reality. The work that you do and your achievements are bubbled up to decision makers based on your relationships.Otherwise Your Contribution in the company will be hidden in the shadows even if your are an Excellent Contributor.
  • 10. 2. Be Faithful- Faithfulness Carries You a Long Way than You could Ever Imagine.
  • 11. If you are fired several times in your carrier, you may wonder whether it is stupid to be Faithful. But be faithful until you are fired again. This attitude will give you benefits in your career some where down the line. Do not be Blind in your Faithfulness as it might lead to Emotional Issues
  • 12. If you look at the TOP of the Organization, You might find that all are NOT Brilliant & Extraordinary People. Some of the guys at the TOP are the ones who showed Faithfulness to the Management during their Employment. Most bosses have job insecurity issues, even though He / She is a Linchpin in an organization. Therefore Bosses love faithful employees so that they can delegate work responsibilities and relieve themselves. No Boss delegates any work if you NOT Faithful.
  • 13. When you decide to leave the organization leave without keeping any bad trails. Faithfulness does not mean you have to be in the same company for a life time, but until you leave you, You have to be faithful. The TOP of the Organization plays a different Ball Game. One back stabber can topple an entire organization and therefore organizations love Faithful Workers z
  • 14. 3.Be a Learner-Never Work Just to Earn Money only, but to Gain Experience

This should be your stream of thought if you want to succeed in your career. “I go to my Office to Learn and end of the moth I am paid too.It is like I go to a University and University pays me at the end of the Month. Learning is Free of charge. Thank God about It”. Learn your job quickly and then learn the rest of the soft skills to shine amongst the rest of the staff.
  • 16. The truth is , if you learn and contribute to your organization, and get tightly integrated, no organization will let you leave , no organization will wait until you ask for a raise. They will look after you in every possible way as asset for the company. This is the harsh truth which some tend to not understand. Your Boss will fight with your organization to keep you & give everything possible as Boss can not work without You.
  • 17. Don’t get me wrong. I’m NOT advocating you to NOT Earn Good Money for the Good work that You do but this is the Strategy if You need a Good Compensation. As you join an Organization, at the interview, make sure you get the Best Remuneration Plan Possible. You must Negotiate for a Good Salary and Benefits at the interview and NOT after that. If you get a Raise or Bonus , it should be considered as a Bonus for you life. Never Work expecting a Raise.
  • 18. If you join an organization due to a different reason other than money, then keep that in mind until you leave the company. A lot of employees get demotivated as they go along as they can NOT remember why they joined in the first place. If you need a raise and they didn’t give it, leave the organization. If you were a good enough employee , they would have given you a raise before you asked for it as organizations motivate Good Workers.
  • 19. 4. Work Hard & Be Smart- Do NOT Stick to Your Job Description only
  • 20. There is no substitute for working hard. If there is, let me know too. If you work Hard Enough then you Discover how to work Smartly. Otherwise you will never find ways to work smart. The main point is to work as hard as possible so that You find new ways to work smart. If you are interested in only doing the prescribed tasks and work like any ordinary employee, then you have to expect the same benefits and same treatment like others which is in my world is “Nothing”
  • 21. Why would an organization give you more or look after you better than others when you are doing the same thing over and over again. They could replace you easily with another person, may be even for a lesser wage. As I would put it “If you DO the same thing over and over, you GET the same thing over and over”. This is the universal truth.
  • 22. 5.Act as a Leader - Never ask for Promotions. Work and Act as you have that Position already.
  • 23. We are in the era of Social Media and we want to show our network that we are making good progress in our lives. For that we need Good Titles at the end of our names and Good materialistic things around us. That is how we show our progress in life to others. This is the world that we are in today whether we are like it or NOT. Let us all take a reality check. If possible, We would love to have our designation Changed every year to something higher. Statistics show that Flat organizations do better in business in the current era. Therefore organizations are reluctant to create big hierarchical structures.
  • 24. If you need a promotion, act and work as if you possess that Title or Promotion. Show that you are capable of handling those duties before you get the promotion. Gone are the days when you get the promotion before you show your talents. First show your abilities and make them promote you. Never work aiming at a Promotion as You will be demotivated if You do not get that.
  • 25. This is the latest trend. Show you can take on the work and you will get the title that you deserve. Do NOT work hard to get a title. Just work hard to do your job efficiently, and the titles will follow you automatically. If you build good relationships and show your faithfulness, your organization will delegate a lot of work to you eventually giving you the Title or promotion that you deserved. Bottom-line “Be a Leader”.
  • 26. 6. Be Thankful. Attitude of Gratitude Carries You a Long Way than You could Ever Imagine
  • 27. Be Thankful for Everything. Foster an attitude of gratitude towards everything you Do & Receive in the organization. Show your Thankfulness in every possible way. You will be amazed by the responses. Don’t hold back in showing your thankfulness by positive posture, words and actions.
  • 28. I personally practice giving a thanking card in my own handwriting to people that I should be thankful for. Send an email, give a firm shank hand , give a thanking card or do something special when you need to show your gratitude to others. Attitude of Gratitude carries you a long way NOT only in your Job but Life itself. It is a Universal Truth and Ritual.
  • 29. 7.Be a Yes Man - Never say NO unless it goes against your Values.
  • 30. Most of the time, You may not be aware of your real potential or skills that you are good at. A Good Boss will give you additional tasks to perform when they recognize your potential. If the organization wants to test your skills first, they might give an outside task to perform so that they can judge your abilities. If you perform well, they will understand that you can perform those skills. Therefore never refuse additional tasks when you are called upon.
  • 31. Truth is, organization gives more work to people who are capable of doing them. You may feel it a bit unreasonable asking yourself “Why Me” every time. It is due to the law of 80/20, 20% of staff contribute to 80% of the work. If they recognize you within that 20% bucket, you are considered special and you should be happy about it. You should have the strength to refuse any tasks that are against you Values or Religious beliefs. Explain the reason for refusal in a positive manner so that the Management understands it.
  • 32. Most of the time, wealth acquisition and your successful career are a long running process unless you try to do those in a dirty ways. Very seldom do people acquire wealth and a successful career fast. Some may try but they may lose all that is gathered with the same speed. You can NOT change the laws of the Universe or laws of Human Behavior
