Chabani Cyril Manganye born 1959 Soweto. In 1981 he Obtained his
3 year Fine Art Diploma at the prestigious ELC in Rorke’s Drift in KZN.
From 1982-1993 he is appointed Soweto City Council cultural officer
and acting head of Mofolo Art Centre. He serves in many boards
these include Thupelo Art Workshop, Johannesburg Art Foundation,
Bill Ainslie Bursary fund. Soweto City Council Trust Fund.
Exhibitions
1990 – Solo Exhibition Cassire Fine Art Rosebank. He has participated
in many group exhibitions locally and abroad including J.A.G,
Market theatre Gallery, Tri Angle workshop New York, Oxford
Museum London, CASA Exhibition Amsterdam.
His works are featured in many important collections private, public
corporate, museums including. Johannesburg Art Gallery, Argus
group, DBSA, Kwa Zulu Investment Corporation , Art Board,
Standard Bank, William Humphrey Gallery, Nandos London,
Museum Germany.
