2. INTRODUCTION
❖ To be simple scrap is something valueless. Odoo scrap management is a very simple but
eminently useful feature of Odoo manufacturing ERP.
❖ In the company stockroom, you once in a while discover items that are unusable because
of expiry or for some other reason.
❖ You regularly see this during physical stock. Since you can’t sell or store these items, you
need to scrap that.
❖ In Open ERP/Odoo scrap management, you can create one or more scrap locations for
scrap Products In Odoo Inventory.

3. ❖ First of all, we need to enable Storage Locations.
❖ For that goto Inventory > Configuration > Settings

4. ❖ After that Storage Locations and save your changes.

5. ❖ After that Go to Configuration > Locations and for creating new scrap Location.

6. ❖ We will get a list view for the locations.You can create a new location b CREATE button

7. ❖ We will get already created scrap location by odoo.

8. ❖ Click on CREATE button.Here we can give the name of Location,Parent location, whether this
is a scrap Location or not etc for creating new location.
❖ Enable the option Is a Scrap Location

9. ❖ From Operations > Scrap we can create direct scrap orders if we found any product is
damaged.

10. ❖ Creating a new scrap order can be easily done by clicking on the ‘Create’ button given
in the window.

11. ❖ In the new scrap order creation window, you can add the Product Name, Quantity,
Source Document, and Company name in the specified fields. By clicking on the Save
button, you will get a draft form of the scrap order.
❖ In order to validate the newly created scrap order, you are allowed to click on the
‘Validate’ button from the same window.

12. ❖ You will get the product move details from here. Click on that smart button Product Moves

13. ❖ We can see the from and to locations from tree view.

14. ❖ You can also create scrap orders from various inventory operations such as Delivery
Orders, Receipts, Internal Transfers, POS Orders, Manufacturing, etc.
❖ For example create a purchase order > Confirm the order > Validate the picking > And we
can the scrap button to make scrap from here.

15. ❖ Now like this you can also create a sale order and scrap the products if you find damaged
products.
