2. INTRODUCTION
❖ In Inventory Management, the supply chain strategy determines when products
should be fabricated, delivered to distribution centers, and made available in the
retail channel.
❖ This process can be configured using Routes, featuring Pull and Push Rules. Once
configured, the inventory app automatically generate transfers following the
instructions given by the rules.
3. ❖ To configure a route open the Inventory Application and go to Configuration > Settings.
Then, enable the Multi-Step Routes and also Storage location feature.
4. ❖ Now you can see menu item in Configuration.
❖ Go to Configuration > Routes. Here you can see a set of Preset Routes.
6. ❖ You can see all the rules in Inventory > Configuration > Rules.
7. ❖ Now lets see how to create a new location to explain about configuring routes and
rules. It can be added in the existing location also.
8. ❖ Now go to Inventory > Configuration > Routes. And click on Create button.
❖ Select the places from which all places we can apply it to a product.
❖ Finally click on Add a Line under the rules.
9. ❖ Now a rule popup will come you can choose from 5 different rules.

● Pull & Push (Image 3)
● Manufacture (Image 4)

12. ❖ For now we will set the rule as Push to ie “When products arrive in WH/Stock,
Receipts are created to send them in WH/Stock/Dark Room.”
13. ❖ Now go to Inventory > Products > Products and select the product which you want add the
route. And take the Inventory tab, select the Route and save it.
14. ❖ Now create a Purchase Order for the product and Receive the product.
15. ❖ Now go to Inventory, Inventory Overview > Receipts you can see all the pending items,
and Validate it.
16. ❖ Now go to Inventory > Reporting > Stock Moves. You can see the product have been moved from Partner
Location to WH/Stock Location first and when we validate the Receipts of the item, it directly move from
WH/Stock to WH/Stock/Dark Room.
❖ In Route Rule if we choose Automatic Move as Automatic No step Added the we need not validate it from
Inventory Overview > Receipts. The product will be automatically transferred to the Route Location.
