1. The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2013
One of the much-anticipated show each year is finally here! The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2013
was filmed yesterday, November 13 at New York City. After nine months of planning and
preparation, we’re pretty damn sure that this year’s show is no different from the previous
ones. While we won’t be seeing the show until it airs at CBS on December 10, wait.. Hold on a sec,
don’t be sad guys ’cause I’ve got the deets for you!
First up, the Performers!
Taylor Swift amped up her signature Grace Kelly-ish outfits to those figure-hugging dresses and
headlined the show. Taylor was smokin’ hot on the red carpet, and even glittered onto the runway
belting out her singles while surrounded by a bevy of Angels showcasing amazing lingerie designs for
the show. Joining Taylor was the alternative-rock band Fall Out Boy, Girl-group Neon Jungle and A
Great Big World.
Next up, the $10 million-dollar Fantasy Bra.
Candice Swanepoel was chosen this year to wear the extravagant fantasy bra (FINALLY!, sashaying
first out of the gate down the runway in the expensive shimmering gold bra and panties. And she
looked... well, there are no words.
Then, there are the Show Segments.
Last year, the show only featured four, and now they also amped it up a couple of notches to six.

There are a total of 40 models, all very much famous and oh-so sexy walked this year. The Front-
liners are the Angels – Candice Swanepoel, Doutzen Kroes, Lindsay Ellingson, Erin Heatherton,
Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Lily Aldridge and their newest angel, Supermodel Karlie Kloss.
But someone’s missing? Miranda Kerr, who recently revealed that she’ll be no longer an Angel, sent
out her best wishes to the show from Japan. Aww, too sweet! Another Supermodel not present in
the show is Hungarian Barbara Palvin (one of my favorites!). Also present in the show is the British
“Model of the Moment” and MY PERSONAL FAVORITE, Cara Delevingne!!!

2. Album Review: The Blessed Unrest
If you guys are looking for the kind of music that has both quality and content, then you should
definitely check this out.
Sarah Bareilles, American singer-songwriter released her third full-length studio album entitled ” The
Blessed Unrest” which features twelve (12) tracks all written by her. Now that’s talent. The album

12. debuted at number 2 on Billboard 200 and already sold 68,000 copies on its first week of release.
Her lead single “Brave” became a hit, an inspiration and also an anthem for almost everyone.
On my take for the album, I’d definitely give it 5 out of 5 stars. All the songs are good. The album will
take you into an emotional journey of life and it’s challenges. The music is “moody and textured”. In
addition, the album is soulful, that you can really relate to the lyrics and that grey and blues vibe
makes it more mature, daring and serious. Rolling Stone magazine said that the album is “full of
broad exposition-heavy vignettes of heartache and resiliency”.
As for my recommendations on the album, my personal favourites are “Satellite Call”, “Islands”, ”
Chasing The Sun”, “Hercules” and “Brave” and I’m seriously been wanting you guys to listen to these
songs as well, the entire album in fact.
If you’re into some suffer in silence or soul-searching mood, this album right here is gonna be your
best buddy. Zero weirdness and anti-social instincts, promise.

3. Amsterdam’s “MAGIC” Cafes
Unleash your alter egos and start traveling like you’re some kind of hostel, ’cause it sure is gonna be
a hell lot of fun ...
If you’ve been meaning to visit a country where everything, I repeat, EVERYTHING is allowed? Then
Amsterdam is one of them.
If you’re claiming that you’ll be visiting Amsterdam for the art, culture, history and any other type of
crap, you’re not gonna fool anyone. We all know that it’s a first on your list to visit the oh-so famous
Red-Light District and indulge to the city’s well-known “coffee shops”. Some may be out and about
going to the Van-Gogh Museum or check out the Anne Frank House, but hitting up a cafe or two is
essential. Whether you’re already a wild one or a blue-eyed virgin, here are the three cafes you need
to hit. Hard.
Grey Area
Established by a couple of American jackasses, this joint full of joints (If you know what I mean) has
been strong for more than a decade. Considered a “Mecca for American Tourists”, Grey Area offers a
different feel together with its tasty weed. A stoner’s dream, the cafe is sticker-filled of punk bands,
and everything else. This cafe already won twenty-one awards over the years and maintained a
celebrity favorite. Recommended by the top rock stars and boozers, sure as hell we’ll try whatever
shit he’s on.
Bluebird
This place offers amazing weed, so it’s considered a paradise for smokers and the alike. Plus, free
perks for every damn visitor! Can it be any cooler than that? First perk: you’ll find pot-tutors for the
newbies and amateur smokers, some guidance and delicious hash bonbons. While the second perk is

13. a place full of comfy couches to enjoy your newly-buys and lastly, a non-smoking section for weed-
free nibbles and non-alcoholic drinks. Hey, you can even turn into Japanese for some Saturday sushi.
De Dampkring
A den for connoisseurs, this place is known for their “orange bud”. Won four out of six Cannabis Cup
finals, with dramatic and trippy dark mahogany carvings of wood, mellow music and gold statues –
even mushroom lamp that changes color in the center room, this place certainly won’t kill your vibe,
buddy.
Now... there you have it! Enjoy your coffees everyone!
4. Album Review: BANGERZ
It’s obvious about the drastic change that’s been goin’ down with Miley Cyrus. From that Southern
gal with a twang, to a liberating twerking goddess she’s become. Not only that, it seems noticeable
the maturity of her music. And damn right straight she always keeps it interesting …
Earlier this October, she released her brand new album entitled “Bangerz” and the deets are that
she co-written like... 13 of the songs in the album. That is pretty damn dope too, buddy! Well, if you
will listen to it (Ehem! Excuse her French for the album’s mature content), you could see the
creativity and risk she took on cementing her new music, in line with her new look. The variety of
songs too is quite impressive: Collaborating with some of the biggest names in music, the emotional
whiplash of the tunes makes it surprisingly good. Really. And oh, her vocal pipes improved as well.
Slow clap for you, Miley!
As for my take on her album, I’d give it 4 out of 5 stars! And she earned it, people! I actually loved
the songs! From “We Can’t Stop”, to the viral hit “Wrecking Ball”, not to mention, the concept that
had the world going about on almost every freaking Halloween Party this year .. Some powerful
wrecking ball that is! You guys should also check out “#GETITRIGHT” and “4×4”, to get you amped
up. A lil bit of booze goes well with this too. *wink* The album deserved the title too coz the whole
album is bangin’, man.
Well well well... If that‘s the effect of the change she’s been doing, then you go for it, girl! You can’t
blame nor stop her, seriously, if that’s the kind of music she’s making now. We just hope her future
albums would be as good as this one, right? If not, maybe better?

5. For Paris, With Love.
Some people, well actually EVERYone loves Paris (ME! ME! Totally). For being the most romantic
place in the world, the city known for its captivating lights or simply being one of the most visited
cities worldwide. You won’t see anyone who wouldn’t want to go and be enticed by the magic that
Paris has. Everyone asks what there it is to do when you get there, and I’ve got tips for you! Whether
it is your first time or your 51st
time. Now grab a pen and paper and jot this down, or you could just
copy-paste this right? (Calling out lazy boopers out there :D) Or take a snapshot or two or whatever.
*wink* let’s get down to the nitty gritty of this crap now, shall we?

14. Dayuuuummm… For our first Paris power-up, you guys, DO NOT BE SCARED TO BUST OUT YOUR
HIGH SCHOOL FRENCH.
A lot of Parisians speak a little bit of English, but not everyone does – and not everyone has to,
because come on! It’s France. And I was told that it can be very frustrating to try and learn to
remember French phrases, and it’s even more horrifying to really speak French to an actual French
person! Just dive in, keep it cool, try your damnest and smile. They appreciate the effort, and it’ll be
a good experience. Try to view it as an adventure – and if all else fails? Just say to yourself that you’ll
never see that person whose language you’re murdering again. Feel much better, oui?
Okay okay, now the next pointer is... DO NOT BE SHY ABOUT TRYING NEW FOODS.
Snails, frogs, leg, goose liver... pretty much daunting right? Let me say exotic! Sexist much?
Nah. Anyway, you don’t have to try all the crazy, slimy, slippery things that French eat. But if you are
going to try it, well at least do it thoroughly. But, come a bit closer you guys coz I’m gonna teach you
a technique, a jedi-master-of-bullshit kind of ninja move, you game? Okay, just keep it simple and
itsy bitsy discreet. If you’re with a group of people, order one plate for the whole table so you can
pass it on if you bloody hate it, like count of to your reinforcements, mate! Now, I did sound a bit
British, eh? Or you can just try a new dish using the ingredients explained to you so you have an
insight on what to order next time, yeah?
Then, this one’s for the tight-budgeted kind of tourist, and every kind of tourist there is, (Is there a
basis for types of tourist?) keep calm and note this down. DO NOT PANIC IF YOUR CREDIT CARD
DOESN’T WORK.
On an article I read (Oh I’d like to thank Flipboard for this. Kiss!), France has this weird thing where
foreign cards sometimes don’t work in those little portable machines they use to process payments
in stores and restaurants. All you have to say is “carte etranger” (foreign card) and that’ll do the
trick. Okay, not really. Then you should add that you will go right now to get the “especes” (cash)
from the ATM. Paris is the most visited place on earth, so it’s happened before.
The next tip is for the ones who wanted to see everything, literally. Here it goes... DO NOT TRY TO
SEE EVERY SINGLE THING.
The list of must-sees in Paris is lengthy, and it is a reflex to excited foreigners for wanting to see what
Paris’ got, and when you start to plan out each day, you wonder how you’re even going to have the
time to sleep! Or even just to rest one bit. But, look – Paris isn’t going anywhere. It’s more important
that you enjoy your experience and actually remember the things you saw and did. And clearly, half
of the magic that Paris has can be seen by just walking around, with no destination. I know, I know –
It’s kinda scary but my dear friends face your fears! This. Is. Paris! If something unexpected happens,
well just think about it. It happened in Paris. And if you’re constantly running from one site to
another, you’re missing a great deal why people love Paris. Come on, man! You’re on a vacation.
Stop planning everything because life happens when you’re too preoccupied creating your plan of
action, and you’ll be damned if you missed that. Quit rushing. Sleep in, have a long lunch, take it
slow... Inhale... Exhale.
Also, DO NOT EVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT FIGURING OUT YOUR SMARTPHONE.
When you’re in a far far away land (I believe this is a line on a fairy tale), your phone is your BEST
MAN. And you know what they say right? Never leave you man behind. It is also your bread and

15. butter, or whatever other idioms and adjectives there is on an English subject. The accommodations
and cafes in Paris have Wi-Fi, so you can use your smart phone to check your emails, use guide apps
and just look out for closing times. But if you use it wrong, you’re going to pay a fortune; some
providers require you to “turn on” international use options. Before you leave, master the
instructions on how to use the Wi-Fi option on your phone so you don’t spend the whole day cursing
with it.
This is really long, I figured. Next, DO NOT STAY IN PARIS THE WHOLE TIME.
Yes, Paris indeed is amazing; but so is the rest of France. There are volcanoes, fields of lavender and
fields of alcohol (now we’re talking *wink wink*) Just wander around, get out of Paris! Rest of
France, I’m commmmmiiiiinngggggg!!!
Now that’s short. Weird.
Lastly, for all the spectators... DO NOT STAND IN LINE FOR EIFFEL TOWER TICKETS.
