MOOCs have evolved since 2012. While early MOOCs aimed to provide free education to all, they now focus on skills training for those with degrees. Platforms like Udacity and Coursera offer technical and business courses. Universities also offer MOOCs for credit. Though dropout rates remain high, MOOCs address the need for continuous learning as careers change. Data from MOOCs helps improve teaching methods. While awareness remains low, MOOCs' value for lifelong learning and corporate recruitment is growing recognition.
