29. MONUMENTS OF JAÉN MUSEUM There is a Museum located within a cathedral, this delightful small museum was once a 1547 mansion. In its patio stands the facade of the Church of San Miguel, another work by Andrés de Vandelvira. One of the highlights of the fine arts section is a room of Goya lithographs. There are also excellent exhibits of art, archeology and artwork, the most outstanding being the Toro Iberico of Porcuna and the Paleo Christian sarcophagus of Martos and works by Sebastián Martínez and Ribera.

32. MONUMENTS OF JAÉN ARAB BATHS Located in the narrow alleyways of the old part of the town as you walk from the cathedral, the baths once belonged to Ali, a Moorish king of Jaen and probably from the 11th century. Four hundred years later, a viceroy of Peru chose to build himself a mansion, the Palacio de Villardompardo right over them, it has taken years of painstaking excavation to restore the baths to their original form. The plazas of Jaén are the site for the enormous bonfires set alight in honour of San Antonio Abad, the patron and protector of animals. Each neighbourhood strives to build the biggest, brightest, most spectacular fire. Participants dance the traditional local dance, the 'melenchones' and there are tastings of pumpkin, sweet potatoes, popcorn and other seasonal fare.
38. And Finally, Myself My name is Carlos Sánchez Garrido. I’m 26 years old. I am tall (1´86 cm /more than 6 inches) and big (89 kg/ 196 Lb). I’m a humble, charming, respectful, hard-working… I like joking all the time and having fun too. But at the same time, I am very responsible with everything.
39. Currently, I’m doing a master, but previously I did two degrees. My first one is teacher from Primary School specialized in English. Later, I did English Philology, which is the same than English Studies. I have had the great possibility of being living in other foreign countries, such as EEUU and Canada. In the first one, I was as a day and resident camp counselor, but at the same time, I had the possibility of knowing its culture, which I like it very much. I was travelling to many cities, like NY, Boston, New Haven, Hartford… Then, I had the enormous experience of obtaining a scholarship for being involved in a Mobility Exchange Program between EU and Canada. I lived in a city called Regina, in the province of Saskatchewan.
