• Scaling collaboration explosively or globally requires
volunteer alignment; this will likely not be achieved with
traditional hierarchical organizational models
• Alignment is necessary at all levels - global, national,
regional, organizational, team, individual, etc.
• Shifts in direction or understanding can lead to
misalignment, miscommunications, missed
expectations, disappointments, missed performance,
ineffectiveness... if not recognized & proactively
managed
