Future MeteoSwiss Open Data Policy
• MeteoSwiss has the assignment to propose a new
meteorological law with open data policy to the FC
• The OGD@Bund portal is a pilot for a possible open meteo
data portal
• A preliminary start date for open data access can be 2016
• The extend of data liberalization is under discussion. The
direction is to liberate all data measured based on public
funding and no distribution restrictions.
