7. System Architecture Diagram
The POS is created using a modular design, which allows parts to be
replaced and changed without impacting the complete system.
The POS Core is the brains of the system. It performs the main
processing and follows the business rules that have been defined.
Since the screens are separate from the Core, the visual interface the
operator works with can be easily interchanged to fit differing
requirements. The screen layer is showing a visual presentation of the
system, and is not directly implementing business rules.

A screen is the visual appearance the user sees. XChange POS have a
number of pre-canned screens. The screen system offers a rich array of
items that can be displayed on the screen.

Prefix value – Prefix separator - Unique Number - Suffix separator – suffix
value.
