PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Mark Warren of Petco Animal Supplies,
Inc., the 2015 Retailer of the Year, has con-
tributed significantly in service of his company,
PRSM membership and the industry. During
his seven years at PETCO, Mark has managed
a number of challenging projects, including the
relocation of their maintenance department
from San Diego, Calif., to San Antonio, Texas.
Mark has made significant contributions to
his company in many other areas, all the while
embodying team spirit and inclusiveness, traits
that no doubt will continue to serve him well
as he advances in his career.
Jaclyn Frenzel of American Facilities
Maintenance, Inc., the 2015 Vendor of the
Year, is yet another industry professional with
an admirable track record of accomplishment.
Jacklyn entered the industry in 2009, and she
immediately made her presence known. In
addition to engaging on PRSM committees,
she has connected with key AFM customers,
helping to drive outstanding results through
her partnership approach of building long-
term relationships with a focus on mutual
respect and producing both short-term and
long-term results.
Chris Slocum of Cornell Storefront
Systems, PRSM’s 2015 Volunteer of the
Year, deserves our gratitude on many levels.
As a PRSM Charter Member, Chris has
impacted the association with his service on

that’s a Wrap!
oUr big CoNFErENCE and exhibition each spring provides not only
a time to meet new people and renew old friendships, but we also
have the privilege of honoring a small group of individuals who have
excelled in the industry and as PRsM association members. this year’s
group of award winners is an exceptional lot, and I would like to take
this opportunity to share a few thoughts on their accomplishments
seven different Committees, by serving on the
Board of Directors, and by presenting educa-
tional sessions at conferences and webinars.
Chris is a consummate thought leader and a
friend to all.
The 2015 Service Excellence Award recipi-
ent, Allen Randolph of Aqua ChemPacs, LLC,
is a true leader amongst us and is a trusted
advocate for the value of proper cleaning and
health and wellness in the workplace. Allen
has lent his leadership support of the PRSM
Association as a member of the Benchmarking
Committee, where he helped develop the
Janitorial Scope of Work (SOW) Generation
Tool that will soon be available.
As evidenced by the three awards for
Innovation in Sustainability, Corporate Social
Responsibility has come of age, and we in facili-
ties management are leading the way. From the
industry’s first Net Zero Store, a Walgreens in
Evanston, Ill., to the exceptionally complex and
successful, long-term initiatives at JCPenney
and Starbucks, I encourage you to delve into
the details of what these companies have done
– and continue to do – to lead our industry.
Though it’s over, there’s much more to see
and learn from the PRSM2015 National
Conference. I encourage you to take some time
to review the coverage provided in this issue,
as well as the post-event content available at
www.prsmnational.com. Also in this issue you
will find a set of interesting and informative
articles about the challenges we all face keeping
up with codes and regulations. I know from
experience that this area of the business is
always changing, and it’s essential to keep up
with what’s happening now, as well as what’s
coming down the road. l
