Custom Machine Design & Build-to-print Equipment Manufacturing
MACHINE BUILDING
Why our OEM manufacturing experience matters:
For over 50 years, Lakewood designed and manufactured custom equipment for companies in a number of different
industries that were in need of a more efficient, more profitable, or more streamlined approach to how they were handling
internal processes that were being poorly executed on outdated equipment, or required too many people to get the job
done. In that 50 years Lakewood also developed and manufactured a constantly evolving, and highly reputable line of
packaging and processing equipment for the fruit, vegetable, and food industries throughout the world, that was based
entirely around creating value through efficiency by way of automated equipment solutions.
In 2015, that product line was sold which has allowed us to focus all of our attention on offering the same reputable ma-
chine building services, quality craftsmanship, and problem solving that we had incorporated into our own product line
and custom equipment builds, to you and your manufacturing needs.
As a previous proprietary equipment manufacturer, we have a unique understanding of the pains involved with outsourc-
ing any kind of work - from the smallest sheet metal parts all the way to complete machine builds, and we also understand
how difficult it can be to find an experienced, and reliable supplier - because we have been in your shoes.
Why our process works:
Our machine building process at Lakewood is based around the concept that every job will require a certain amount of
flexibility within our shop, and from everyone on our team that’s involved. Approaching each job with this understanding
allows us to focus on how we can ensure each step of the process gets through our shop efficiently to meet your due dates,
and with check points set to ensure the end product meets your tolerances, and exceeds your expectations in quality.
The combination of our 50 years of design and manufacturing experience and our knowledge and understanding of the
types of pain points manufacturers see on a daily basis gives us a step ahead of our competition when it comes to the
customer experience we can provide, and the quality of work we are able to do given our diverse capabilities and talented
machine building staff.
