The purpose of the Squires program is to develop
young men as Catholic leaders who understand
their religion
A Squires circle is designed to be run both by and
for young men.
A Squires is an athletic team, a youth group, a
social club, a cultural and civic improvement
association, management training program, and a
spiritual awareness course all rolled into one.
WHAT MAKES A

Catholic young men between the ages
of 10 and 18 who are members of unit
called “CIRCLE.”
WHO ARE THE
HOW TO JOIN THE
COLUMBIAN SQUIRES?
By invitation from a Squire or a Knight.
8. SQUIRES EMBLEM
The Squires emblem symbolizes the ideals which
identify a Squire. Centered in a circle and on a maltese
cross the letters “P” “I” “S” and “C” (which symbolize
the unity of physical, intellectual, spiritual and civic life
in a squire) are the larger letters “C”, representing
Christ, “S,” the squires, and “K,” the Knights by whom
the Squires program is sponsored. ESTO DIGNUS means
“BE WORTHY” or “Maging Karapat-dapat”
