50 Shades of Green
50 Shades of Green was presented on the annual Agile Practitioners 2016 conference as part of Lighting talks. Let’s suppose your project have a nightly build and it’s mostly green. Is it good enough? How you can improve your team’s code quality? How to measure code quality? How to make it “greener”? The session will be focused on code metrics, the ways to measure them and to improve over time. The session will be presented on TeamCity and Visual Studio. During the session we will present the concepts of static code analysis and code coverage. We will demonstrate how to integrate them in our CI process using TeamCity. In addition, we’ll demonstrate how we can benefit from their results by integration with Visual Studio. Finally, we will see how to make sure our code get better over time by setting ourselves goals and thresholds.
