ICT Cluster Academy within ICT Cluster of Central Serbia, is a non-formal educational concept which produces new skillful ICT work force in a short period of time

2. Who we are?
ICT CLUSTER OF CENTRAL SERBIA - (http://www.ict-cs.org) is a business
association which gathers enterprises, institutions and organizations from ICT
sector from the territory of Central Serbia, based in geographical centre of
Serbia, in the city of Kragujevac.
Cluster was established on May 21, 2013 with the goal to support and develop
the information and communication technologies sector on the territory of
Central Serbia.
This goal will be achieved through building capacities and infrastructure of the
Cluster to provide support for development of small and medium sized
enterprises in ICT field with the aim to enhance their competitiveness, business
and visibility on domestic and international markets.

3. Research
ICT Cluster of Central Serbia with three other national ICT clusters conducted
online research
55 ICT firms from whole Serbia have participated in research
We have asked them what are how much do they need new employees until
the middle of 2016?
55 ICT firms answered: 740 new eployees; 13 new employees per company
ICT work force in Serbia is in huge deficit!
Formal system of education does not recognize the need of raising ICT
industry in Serbia

4. Central problem
Youth unemployment and underdeveloped youth entrepreneurship in Serbia.
Labor market in Serbia is characterized dominantly by:
a) high unemployment, in particular among youth aged 15 to 30;
b) mismatch between human resource needs of some industries and workforce offer
c) underdeveloped entrepreneurship, in particular youth entrepreneurship.
In numbers, statistics say that unemployment rate of youth age 15-30, in Serbia is
44.7% (Labor force survey, 2013).
In other words, every second young person in Serbia has no job!

IT IS CALLED ICT CLUSTER ACADEMY!

6. One generation of ICT Cluster Academy:
Intensive ICT course of 6 months: 2 months of training, 4 months of intensive
internship in ICT companies
Intensive promotional campaign on the faculties and high schools
30 high motivated young people with educational background, knowledge and skills
related to ICT will be carefully selected according to selection criteria.
5 main topics: 1) JAVA modules, 2) Windows desktop applications, 3) Web
Development, 4) Mobile applications, 5) SCRUM / agile methodologies.
Result: ICT Academy will provide ICT firms with skilled work force for junior software
developers positions, which will positively affect their business and increase the level
of competitiveness.

Management, Coordination & Logistics 7.500 euros
HR Consultant (selection process: entry exam, interviews, evaluation) 2.500 euros
Classroom lectures in groups of max. 15 trainees: total of 260 classes (including
preparation, exam conduct & evaluation, consultations) - x 2 - 20.000 euros
Catering 1.000 euros
Promotional campaign and press conferences 4.000 euros
