The greatest secret to success is to find something that you really enjoy doing and then
dedicate yourself to becoming very good at doing it. Then learn how to do it efficiently
and well, and do lots of it.
There are studies from Harvard, going back 50 years, that show that people make a
major transformation in their lives in what they call a “place apart” from their normal
lives and business. More people will become wealthy by attending an event than any
book they could ever read.
Successful people:

Are very clear about their goals. They are firm about their goals, but flexible with
their process.
2 Measure everything they are doing in order to tell if they are moving forward or
backwards.
3 Set deadlines for themselves. This helps ensure that they don’t wander; it keeps them aimed at achieving their goals.

Are committed to continuous learning. Some of the richest people in the world say that if you do not continuously learn in the 21st
century, you will have no chance at success.
We only learn and grow when we can share our ideas with someone else. Almost every change in your life comes when your mind
collides with a new idea. One insight or one word can change your life forever and often does.
Never quit. Be determined. The great secret of success is to get started, keep going and never quit. If you do this, nothing can prevent
you from being a success.

Number two is optimizing your process. If you are constantly inundated with daily
transaction issues, you will get bogged down. If you get your processes to a point
where they’re automatic, you will avoid a lot of stress and will always be ready to go
when it comes time to increase your portfolio.
A lot of people spend time in social media and rely on email lists, whereas I take a
step back from technology. The goal is to build networks through talking with people
and developing relationships. It’s key to finding the deals and the people to do the
