Richard Nauheim, MD has been appointed site director of the ophthalmology residency program at South Nassau Communities Hospital, which will begin accepting residents from St. John's Episcopal Hospital this summer. Dr. Nauheim is board certified in ophthalmology and is a clinical professor at SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine and assistant professor at Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Nassau University Medical Center and a fellowship in cornea and external disease at the Eye & Ear Institute of Pittsburgh.
