3. Artificial Intelligence AI
Artificial intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer
science that studies and develops computer systems
that can do activities that would ordinarily need
human intelligence.
Artificial intelligence may possess aspects of human
intellect such as speech recognition, decision-making,
and visual perception.
There are four basic AI categories, according to the
current classification system: reactive, limited
memory, theory of mind, and self-aware.
4. Artificial Intelligence is not a new word and not a new
technology for researchers .This technology is much
older than you would imagine. Even there are the
myths of Mechanical men in Ancient Greek and
Egyptian Myths. Following are some milestones in the
history of AI which defines the journey from the AI
generation to till date development.
5. According to the current system of
classification, there are four primary AI
types: reactive, limited memory, theory
of mind, and self-aware.

7. Major Artificial Intelligence Techniques
Logic and Rules-Based Approach
Representing processes or systems using logical
rules
Top-down rules are created for computer
Computers reason about those rules
Can ve used to automate processes
EXAMPLE:
TURBOBOX
Personal income tax laws
Represented as logical computer rules
Software computer tax liability
8. Machine Learning Based Approach
Machine learning is a data analytics technique that teaches
computers to do what comes naturally to humans and
animals: learn from experience. Machine learning algorithms
use computational methods to “learn” information directly from
data without relying on a predetermined equation as a model.
Hybrid Systems
Hybrid AI combines the finest features of both neural networks and
symbolic AI. Neural networks can extract patterns from large data
sets (visual and audio, textual, emails, chat logs, and so on).
Then, employing algorithms to alter symbols, rule-based AI systems
can manipulate the retrieved information
9. Finally we can say that the Artificial Intelligence(AI) is
the intelligence of machines and the branch of
computer Science that aims to create it.
AI textbooks define the field as “The study and
Design of Intelligent Agents” where an environment
and takes actions that maximize the chances of
it’s success.
John McCarthy, who coined the term in 1955, defines
it as “ The science and Engineering of making
intelligent Machines.
