2. THE BEGINNING.
It all starts with a view of a city from the
window and instantly switching to a mid shot
of Bethan (the artist) just sitting on her bed
on her laptop like it’s just a normal day,
influencing an instant sense that this is going
to be a narrative style video.
At about 11 seconds into the song, the
introduction music finishes and the shot
goes to a wide angle shot as she starts
singing the first verse.
3. The shot goes from a front view of her
walking down a corridor to a behind
camera angle of her looking out the
window and then a side angle shot
where you can see her looking through
the glass leading into the chorus of the
song- may use some of these angles in
my video.
4. It starts the chorus with a side angle
of the artists face singing and then
leads to a narrative style video
again. It shows a note with the
artists name and then a shot of her
opening the note and smiling and
proceeding to grab her coat and
leave, intending to follow what the
note says.
5. Then leads to an outdoor scene
from over the shoulder camera
angle and goes back to a close up
of her face singing again then
back to the narrative scenery.
6. Once she reaches the destination her not
told her to go to, she meets the boy
spoken about in the song and they then
go and cause chaos in what looks like an
old warehouse and lots of wide angle
shots are used to show this.
7. Happy and smiling leading up to the modulation in
the song going into the chorus with them running
towards the room with all the lights he is
surprising her with using a behind shot to make
look like it’s your perspective.
8. Finally, it shows the last few
intimate moments with the artist
and her on screen partner by
dancing and hugging. Using lots
of different shot angles from a
close up floor shot, to a mid
shot and then a mid wide angle
shot, between all these shots it
goes back to her singing on a
close up and then after that last
image, the music begins to fade
and the song ends.
