2. Sobol started her career as an international fashion model working in more than 40 countries before
launching the first Miami Fashion Week in 1999. “I am extremely happy to pass the continued
development and production reins on to our partners and am very proud that I will forever be
known as the Founder of Miami Fashion Week, the platform that gave hundreds of
international emerging designers their launch into the American market,” says Beth Sobol.
Beth will now devote her talents and passion to further developing the Council of International
Fashion Designers and the CIFD Foundation non-profit organizations to continue educating,
mentoring and supporting the world’s best students and emerging designers in the creative

Perry, a well known businessman & entrepreneur who became a 50% equity partner in 2010 plans
to focus on both his current business ventures as well as other new opportunities.
