3. Graphic Design Production
• Advantages of working in this medium- The good thing about working on
Photoshop is the amount processes you can do to edit a photo. For example it
allowed me to get rid of the background of parts of photos so I didn't have to look
for a vectorised version. It also allowed me to overlap and blend different images
together to make it have a better aesthetic. This method does give lots of tools
such as the magic wand to cut out specific parts of the image and using ‘Ctrl T’ on
an mage to change the sizing.
• Disadvantages of working in this medium- Unfortunately when using this
method it does take time to try perfect how you want the image to look. If the
dimensions are not big enough then you will have to make the image smaller and
that can make the image look more pixelated.

My Poster Real Coca-Cola Poster
In both poste, the
traditional coca cola
writing is used as this is
symbolic to the brand
and is easily recognisable
to the viewer.
With the two coca cola
poster they also have a
slogan written to make
the viewer want to buy
it more
A difference s that on my
poster I tell the audience
about the different types
and versions of the drink
that there is. This increases
the amount of buys.
A good thing that both
posters have done is add
an image of a Coca-Cola
bottle. This is symbolic
for the viewer and
makes it look more
aesthetically pleasing.
The two posters
also include the
traditional coca
cola red that you
can see on many
adverts and
posters for the
brand.
The real coca cola poster
doesn’t have as many
images on as mine to
reduce the chance that it
will look messy.
On my poster I have added a recycling
logo to make it look more
environmentally safer for the buyer.
This is good as it lets the buyer know
that it wont damage the environment
The real coca cola poster has underline part
of the slogan which I didn’t do, the good
thing about underlining it is that it makes the
viewer focus on that point and make it more
that what it is.
On my poster I used the
two hands in the middle
to symbolise the theme
of sharing a coke
together .

By lowering the opacity I
was able to allow the
coke box to blend into
the poster a bit more. I
could have used a
different image that
looked better or found
another method that
helped the box to look
like its meant to be
there.
I used google to find a image of sand and
add it to Photoshop. I was then able to
lighten the image so that it looked like
there was sand at the bottom of the cola
box, this helped it to look more natural.
Unfortunately it didn’t fully work but if I
spent more time then I think I could make
it look official.
Using the magic wand tool I was
able to edit out any unwanted
colours from the wording for
‘Coca-Cola’. This allowed me to
make it transparent. If I made it
again I might use my own font to
make it more unique and
aesthetically pleasing for me.
For the slogan I wanted it to
stand out as that is
important. I wrote the slogan
on Photoshop using the
‘Text’ tool. Then made into
3D by clicking 3D at the top
of the page. I think that it is
good that it is on the angle
as it add the 3D lining which
looks very cool and
appealing,. If it made it again
I would try get rid of the
shadow underneath the
wording as I don’t like it as
much and it doesn’t fit in as
well.
In the original image there was a tree in each side
of the image. This made is like messy with two
trees. So to get rid of the tree in the left hand side
I used the ‘Clone tool’ to get rid of the tree and
clone different parts of the sky in its place to
make it look real. With doing this I feel that I
made it look real enough, as the coca cola word is
covering it I didn’t spend to much time making it
look real. So I could have spent some more time
on that to make it look nicer and real.
Using the ‘clone tool’ again, I got rid
of a branch that was on the side of a
tree. The good thing about getting
rid of this branch is opens up the
poster and gave me more room on
the poster to add the people, signs
and bottles.
I went on to google to get and image of a family on a beach. I got an image that
wasn’t vectorised, this meant I had to use the ‘magic wand’ to get rid of their
background which took up time. Instead, I could have found an image that had
already been vectorised to save time. I also got a black block and overlaid it to the
family and lightened it to make it look like a shadow which I think makes it look a lot
better and real. If I did this section again I would try fid a method that is quicker as
this took a lot of time to make look real enough the it doesn’t look out of place. I also
had to duplicate sand to overlap onto the bottom of the image to make them look
more in the ground ad natural.
For the big coke bottle at the front,
this was a big symbolism point that I
wanted to add it. As I already had the
coke sign and a box of cola. To
increase the symbolism of the
product I want to add a coke bottle
with condensation as I wanted the
summer vibe to it and I have see this
on many summer time coca cola
adverts. I did lower the opacity if the
coke bottle so that it looked more in
place. I could have moved the size of
the image so it didn't look chunky.
Finally to make this bottle look better
I could have tried to make the top
glass part of the bottle that was
empty transparent so you could see
past it, this would have made it look a
lot more natural.
6. Radio Production
• Advantages of working in this medium- A good thing about using this method
is that it allows you to start using the equipment. By doing this you can get new
skills at editing the audio and how it sounds using the software premium pro. This
allowed us to make the audio faster and cut out parts we didn't need. We also was
able to use the audio recorders and learn about different settings on that. It also
allows you to get better and used to the software for later projects.
• Disadvantages of working in this medium- When using this method, it will
take time to learn all the different methods. This also might allow mistakes to
happen and things could go wrong, for example if you don’t know to save the
project properly then you will lose what you have done. As it is a new software, it
will be a bit complicated and unusual to get used to.
7. Radio Production
With Our Advert, we tried to make it quite comical and fun. Compared to
Real Adverts, they are a bit more serious and informative. With both types of
adverts they have a catchy slogan that sticks in your head, this is to make the
advert more memorable to the listener. They Both also normally have the
classic Coca-Cola jingle that is a memorable icon to the product and that is
easily recognisable to the audience. With Our Advert, we added a lot of
sound effects that we had to get of the internet, normally if it was a Real
Advert they would be able to get all the sound effects and Foley themselves
and it would be a lot clearer and sound nicer.
8. Radio Production
Strengths
With our advert, we make it
clear that it is a advert by
making it fun and comical.
This story line makes sense
and clearly describes what
is happening using the
sound effects and audio.
We have also included the
classic Coca-Cola tune to
make it clear that it Is an
advert, also to tell the
audience what the product
is. The project also has a
catchy slogan which
features the words of the
product ‘Coca-Cola’ to
finally show that its not a
real life scenario and to
show what the product is.
By using the software
premium pro, it allowed us
to try perfect the audio and
allow us to edit speed to a
better timing. I thought that
it was good that we lowered
the volume of the audio at
different parts.
Weakness
With our product radio
advert there are a couple of
things that don’t fit well or
that could be better. For
example, the chatting audio
that overlays the western
music. This makes it a little
harder to understand what's
going on. Some of the
timings are also not on a
good beat that helps the
advert flow. We edited the
audio for the gulping, this
was good but it did go quite
fast and it did sound a little
bit un-natural. For the
laughing, it was also un-
natural and sounded fake.
This stands out a bit.
Changes
If I did this project again I
would change a few things.
First of all, I would slow
down the sound of the
gulping to make it sound
more real and natural. This
will help to make the advert
flow and sound better. I
would also try find some
laughing audio that fit the
advert better and that
sounds less fake. This will
help the advert to sound
real. I would change the
chatting the start of the
advert to be quitter so that
it is easier to hear the music
and other audios, helping to
hear and understand what
is happening in the advert.
10. Video Game Production
• Advantages of working in this medium- the good thing about working in
this method is that it allows you to acquire new skills with the software.
For example it teaches you how to draw and make images with pixels on
Photoshop.
• Disadvantages of working in this medium-
