Production Process Evaluation
Research
• There were plenty of examples of media for me to get a
good picture of what I want my crime to turn out like, they
had details about how the main detective characters go
about solving clues, interrogating people and how they talk
to of people of the time.
• When It came to making the crime story all I could was make
the introduction, investigating and the cliff hanger ending, if
I had a lot more time I could have included some conflict and
an actual ending.
• if I included more content my story would be more eventful,
have a longer run and be more suspenseful than a 3 minute
introduction.
Planning
• I had a clear perceptive on what my story would sound like from the
sounds, the characters and the setting.
• Thanks to the planning it helped me to be more organised for when I was
producing the story.
• Because of my shorter run time the listeners could get a clear image of
the setting, who the characters are and what was happening.
• I had planned on using more sound effects and music for my story
because I had the idea to already introduce the characters already at the
scene of the crime.
• I could used other locations to generate more recorded sound effects to
use in my story to give more realism.
Time Management
• I managed my time well thanks the my schedule and focus.
• I think my product would have improved with additional
time, I could have given it a more detailed description of
events.
• If had more time I could have added the planned music and
other sound effects for my story instead of leaving them out
altogether.
Technical Qualities
• My product has similarities with a popular game
called L.A Noire as far as the setting, characters and
the time period it’s based from.
• L.A Noire was made by a gaming company,
while my product was made by premiere pro
and other kinds of software and websites.
Aural Qualities
• The music and the sound effects work well
together to depict the the timelines and the
theme.
• I could have added some effects to certain
sound effects, like giving them an echo and a
different tone of voice whether low or high.
• The product was clear when it came to the
narration and dialogue of the characters.
Audience Appeal
• I have followed my audience profile while making the
product, so I know what specific detail I needed to add
to the story.
• Some specific bits of content that would appeal most
would be the background music, tone of voices and well
delivered sound effects in the right places.
• Other specific bits include the pace of the audio and the
contents of the story.
• When It comes to the dialogue of the narrator or one of
the detectives the way the voice lines were delivered In
very curious and intriguing monotone.
Peer
Feedback
Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
– I like how you went for a more detective style, as well as
the use of sound effects to help visualise what's
happening even if it is audio only. The voice acting is also
well done.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– One improvement I could say is you could have
tried making it a bit longer.
Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– I liked how you used the music that fits perfectly
with the theme of detectives and how you use
other sounds like the walking and that one sound
effect for where you found a clue.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– Honestly? i dont think there is any
improvementss that needs to be made.
Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– The editing, the sound effects and the
background music was amazing.
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The difference in audio quality in voices need
changing.
Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer feedback?
– Yes I agree with the feedback, l also agree that the sound
effects fit well with the story, as well as well chosen music
and some master craft editing.
– I also agree with the improvement that could have been
made, instead of different phones for each line, I’ll just
stick to using one phone witch would improve the sound
quality.
• What do you disagree with from your peer feedback?
– I disagree with it needing a longer run time as it is made
into a first episode of something much longer.
Peer Feedback Summary
– One change I would make would be to give the
story a longer running time, if more time was
allotted to me.
– Another change I would make to my product
would be changing the audio quality to sound
better, I would do this by recording on better
equipment.

  • 3. Research • There were plenty of examples of media for me to get a good picture of what I want my crime to turn out like, they had details about how the main detective characters go about solving clues, interrogating people and how they talk to of people of the time. • When It came to making the crime story all I could was make the introduction, investigating and the cliff hanger ending, if I had a lot more time I could have included some conflict and an actual ending. • if I included more content my story would be more eventful, have a longer run and be more suspenseful than a 3 minute introduction.
  • 4. Planning • I had a clear perceptive on what my story would sound like from the sounds, the characters and the setting. • Thanks to the planning it helped me to be more organised for when I was producing the story. • Because of my shorter run time the listeners could get a clear image of the setting, who the characters are and what was happening. • I had planned on using more sound effects and music for my story because I had the idea to already introduce the characters already at the scene of the crime. • I could used other locations to generate more recorded sound effects to use in my story to give more realism.
  • 5. Time Management • I managed my time well thanks the my schedule and focus. • I think my product would have improved with additional time, I could have given it a more detailed description of events. • If had more time I could have added the planned music and other sound effects for my story instead of leaving them out altogether.
  • 6. Technical Qualities • My product has similarities with a popular game called L.A Noire as far as the setting, characters and the time period it’s based from. • L.A Noire was made by a gaming company, while my product was made by premiere pro and other kinds of software and websites.
  • 7. Aural Qualities • The music and the sound effects work well together to depict the the timelines and the theme. • I could have added some effects to certain sound effects, like giving them an echo and a different tone of voice whether low or high. • The product was clear when it came to the narration and dialogue of the characters.
  • 8. Audience Appeal • I have followed my audience profile while making the product, so I know what specific detail I needed to add to the story. • Some specific bits of content that would appeal most would be the background music, tone of voices and well delivered sound effects in the right places. • Other specific bits include the pace of the audio and the contents of the story. • When It comes to the dialogue of the narrator or one of the detectives the way the voice lines were delivered In very curious and intriguing monotone.
  • 10. Feedback 1 • What did you like about the product? – I like how you went for a more detective style, as well as the use of sound effects to help visualise what's happening even if it is audio only. The voice acting is also well done. • What improvements could have been made to the product? – One improvement I could say is you could have tried making it a bit longer.
  • 11. Feedback 2 • What did you like about the product? – I liked how you used the music that fits perfectly with the theme of detectives and how you use other sounds like the walking and that one sound effect for where you found a clue. • What improvements could have been made to the product? – Honestly? i dont think there is any improvementss that needs to be made.
  • 12. Feedback 3 • What did you like about the product? – The editing, the sound effects and the background music was amazing. • What improvements could have been made to the product? – The difference in audio quality in voices need changing.
  • 13. Peer Feedback Summary • What do you agree with from your peer feedback? – Yes I agree with the feedback, l also agree that the sound effects fit well with the story, as well as well chosen music and some master craft editing. – I also agree with the improvement that could have been made, instead of different phones for each line, I’ll just stick to using one phone witch would improve the sound quality. • What do you disagree with from your peer feedback? – I disagree with it needing a longer run time as it is made into a first episode of something much longer.
  • 14. Peer Feedback Summary – One change I would make would be to give the story a longer running time, if more time was allotted to me. – Another change I would make to my product would be changing the audio quality to sound better, I would do this by recording on better equipment.
