Current business trends are shifting from a client-centric
model to an employee-centric model. An employee-centric
leader is one who empowers employees and reinforces
that each employee is a vital part of the company.
There are several ways to empower employees.
HIRE THE RIGHT
EMPLOYEES
It is difficult to empower an
employee who isn’t the right fit
for the company
A responsible, employee-
centric leader tries to hire
employees who can add value
to the company through their
talents, aptitudes, motivation,
and ambition.
Hiring employees who have the
right skills and attitude will
make the company more
successful, but it will also
encourage employees to be
more involved and confident in
their work.
KEEP EMPLOYEES INFORMED
A leader should routinely keep employees updated on all necessary information.
Employees should have the information that permits them to not only do their
job well, but that also helps them understand their role in the company.
An employee should understand why they are doing the tasks desired of them.
Transparency reduces miscommunication, confusion, and anxiety and also
enhances the efficiency of the company’s productivity.

DESERVING EMPLOYEES
Delegating leadership duties to
deserving employees prepares
them for advancement in the
company while freeing the
superiors for other tasks.
Empowering in-house
employees also communicates
to the employees that there is
a long-term future within the
organization, which boosts
employee morale.
RECOGNITION AND REWARDS
An employee-centric leader acknowledges when an employee has performed well
and is reluctant to steal the recognition for himself.
Acknowledging good performance in employees inspires them to continually strive
for excellence. Acknowledging excellence also includes rewarding good behavior,
which promotes a positive organizational culture.
Companies may implement an “Employee of the Month” program to reward
positive behaviors, for example.

Each employee deserves
courteous treatment and positive
recognition for their services to
the company.
Asking for an employee’s insights
and feedback on company
projects effectuates both respect
and empowerment.
It really isn’t difficult to treat
your employees with respect, but
doing so can make a significant
difference in employee
performance and satisfaction.
Employee morale is indispensable to a company’s
success. After all, the employees are the primary
means of upholding the mission and reaching the
goals of the company.
Without their motivation, the company suffers. When
the employee base is empowered and enthusiastic,
clients naturally benefit, and the company’s bottom
line reflects that.

Hiring employees who have the right skills and attitude will make the company more successful, but it will also encourage employees to be more involved and confident in their work.
  • 4. KEEP EMPLOYEES INFORMED A leader should routinely keep employees updated on all necessary information. Employees should have the information that permits them to not only do their job well, but that also helps them understand their role in the company. An employee should understand why they are doing the tasks desired of them. Transparency reduces miscommunication, confusion, and anxiety and also enhances the efficiency of the company’s productivity.
