Re: our loan for our first home
Dear Becky:
Dave and I never dreamed we would be homeowners today.
You and Ed made it possible.
It’s amazing to think of the journey we have made, starting almost a year ago, when you
accommodated our work schedule, and traveled to our home after business hours to begin
the pre-qualification process.
We appreciated how you kept us informed during the insane period, when the lending
market, product availability and loan requirements kept changing while we were still
waiting for the seller to get the bank's ok during our Short Sale process.
We appreciate the peace of mind you offered in interpreting the headlines about how our
banking system was transitioning, and what it actually meant to us and our situation.
If we had relied solely on headlines and news blurbs, we would have mistakenly believed
that our situation was too bleak to have gotten our loan to fund.
You traveled more than the extra mile to make this possible for us, even showing up on our
Saturday work day, when we had to make the required modifications to get the property
through escrow.
Becky, your commitment and compassion in the brave new world of first-time home
buying was an irreplaceable treasure to us. And it will always be one of the bright spots to
remember as we look back on the adventure of transitioning form quot;renterquot; to quot;ownerquot;.
Thank you for your hard work and dedication to our dream of owning a home.
Sincerely,
Kymm & Dave Swoger

Dear Becky:
I’m pleased as punch to put in writing what I told you.
I am so happy I picked you to do my refinance, since this was the biggest financial
transaction of my life. I had never secured a loan by myself before, and, as you know, I
needed to do a refinance in order to finalize my divorce.
I was very afraid of the whole process, not only because of the size of the transaction, but
also because of what was happening during the divorce negotiations, which were extremely
difficult for me.
I appreciate so much that you explained everything in such detail for me and described
what was happening at every step along the way. Your advice was invaluable, especially
when the loan process actually got started, and when the complications arose. I am
particularly grateful that you kept me informed as to what solutions you were pursuing,
most significantly when I was crazy with worry. I had no idea how complicated my
situation had become, and when the loan crisis situation became a part of my personal
story, I had almost given up hope. But your confidence kept me going, and your ability to
adapt to a constantly changing environment inspired me. I especially appreciate that you
personally drove over to the other people’s house several times to pick up paperwork, and
didn’t just sit behind your desk.
I am so thankful that you kept me informed, and always stayed in touch. The combination
of my divorce, the size of the transaction, and the complications of qualifying because of
the loan crisis all became overwhelming at times, and you were always there for me.
Sincerely,
Martin H.
