String on a stopper bead (any small
bead) that you can remove later. This
will keep your working beads from
sliding off your thread. You may need to
pass your needle through the stopper
bead 2 times.
Thread length. Use the
length that you are
comfortable with. I use
an arm span which
measures roughly 4.5
feet.

Keep a 4 inch thread “tail”
Pass your needle through
one white bead and one
black bead.

Make a circular stitch by passing
your needle through the white bead
and exiting from the opposite side
of white bead. Do not go through
the black bead.

beadwork into earrings, pendants or fun jewelry.

Attach Jump Ring with 2

opposite side. You don’t need to follow
the exact thread path in this diagram
but lots of zig-zags and a final circular
stitch will keep the thread secure.
Cut both thread
ends close to bead
Thread a needle on to the tail
and stitch through the beads,
exiting at the edge of the
beadwork.
