Interior Pole Aerial Photography: Why Not Use PAP For Interior
Shots?

Exterior P.A.P. photos are beoming more common. But what about "Interior PAP" or "Interior Pole Aerial
Photography" Using Kodak Zi8 Camera On Tall Monopod? For the Agent on a tighter budget, this might be a
possible solution! I was amazed at how many inbox messages I received from Agents wanting to know how
I accomplished the photos below. It's fairly easy and certainly inexpensive!
NOTE: The Idea To Shoot Interior Photos From A Higher Viewpoint Came From The Teachings of Carla
Johnson, author of Magnetic Real Estate Photography!
Photo Below: My first attempt at Pole Aerial Photography from on top of my suv holding a monopod and taken with
Kodak Zi8 with 0.5x wide angle lens by remote control clicker (about 16' to 18' above the ground). I'm sure the
neighbors were wondering what in the world was going on! I like this kind of stuff...
2. I know that there are many real estate professionals on Active Rain blogging about P.A.P. and there's even the P.A.P.
Group on Active Rain that shares ideas and tips on this extension of real estate marketing. And, apparently P.A.P. is
a popular topic on Facebook as my post below generated more than a few comments.
3. But, What About Interior P.A.P.? Why Not? I had two (2) Real Estate Agents Comment On How Good Of An
Idea This Is! NOTE: Please keep in mind these photos are taken in the 5 megapixel mode of the Kodak Zi8.
These are not professional real estate photos and I'm well aware of this fact. I'm experimenting as I improve
my home appraiser photography skills!

5. Here's How!
First, this is not "pro photography"...obviously. This is accomplished with a simple Kodak Zi8 with 0.5x
Wide Angle Lens ($39 at BestBuy) mounted on a 57" monopod ($15 Walmart) using a Kodak remote control
clicker ($10 at BestBuy).

Give Interior PAP a try and please be sure to share the results with me!
