Synopsis
BLM Enterprises (BLM) is a progressive Construction Management company headquartered in Hartford, Connecticut.
BLM is the brainchild of Marja Alexander; a Columbia University graduate - Masters in Construction Administration;
The Pratt Institute - Bachelor’s in Architecture programs. Marja is also one of BLM’s four Partners and is BLM’s majority
Shareholder. Marja brings a wealth of vital experience to BLM having worked for decades in construction and on
multiple intricate projects such as the renovation of the United Nations Conference Building in New York.
BLM is 100% Minority-owned; A Woman and Minority-owned Business Enterprise (W/MBE) and pride itself as an exemplar
for aspiring MBEs performing in the construction trades. With a staunch commitment to exceeding clients’ expectations,
BLM remains cognizant of all project constraints with a steadfast obligation to remain within both budget and schedule.
Our “whatever it takes” attitude will continue long after projects are approved and built.
BLM’s operating philosophy is that each project must be approached from a fresh perspective and that the range of
possible solutions is not limited by the capabilities internal to our company: where necessary, we will serve our customer’s
needs through our network of partnerships and strategic alliances.

Critical Path Project Development Schedule :
Much like a good Contractor, BLM utilizes a Critical Path Project Development Schedule to incorporate funding
and approval timelines, immediately adjusting as information becomes available. The effective management of
outcomes continues through construction all the way to closeout by immediately responding to the field’s need for
information, clarifications and action.
We see our role as a collaborator with the construction team to create a final project that truly meets and addresses the
hopes and dreams of the Owner and users.
