• FATTY ACIDS IS A CARBOXYLIC ACID WITH A LONG
SIDE CHAIN OF HYDROCARBON
• IT IS PRODUCED BY THE BREAKDOWN OF FATS
(USUALLY TRIGLYCERIDES OR PHOSPHOLIPIDS)
THROUGH A PROCESS CALLED HYDROLYSIS.
• FATTY ACID MAY BE PRESENTED BY R-COOH, WHERE
