about basic environmental concepts along with
development of attitudes and skills necessary
for environmental protection.
7. BENEFITS OF FIELD TRIP
• Many of the scientific concepts require first hand
experience outside the classroom setting for
proper understanding

hypotheses and interpret experience
• It bridges gap between theoretical concepts and
reality
• It can stimulate sensory organs(smell, touch, see,
hear)
• It bring joyful experience in learning environment
• It reduces the monotony of regular classroom
teaching.
8. COLLECTION
• According to the Oxford dictionary -

something, it may or may not related to course
work”.
• It is a very important step in environmental
studies. Activities like field trip helps students
to collect samples.
9. BENEFITS OF COLLECTION
Collection work helps to gather information.
It develops keen observation skill.
It helps students to verify hypotheses by
verifying collected materials.
10. EXHIBITION
• An Exhibition is an organized presentation and display of
selected items.
• Exhibition is generally classified into two, Art Exhibition
and Science Exhibition.
• Students made items like painting, drawings, crafts,
SUPW items are the main exhibition materials in art
exhibition.
• Science exhibition is also known as science fair. Here
students exhibit science projects, reports, display board,
science related charts, still and working models
11. BENEFITS OF EXHIBITION
• Exhibition enables the students to express
themselves or their ideas through the different
creations and exhibits.
• Through organization of exhibition and
presentation students develop leadership qualities.
• Develop the skill of co-ordination and co-
operation in different situations
• Environmental projects, reports and presentation
helps students gain in-depth knowledge about
environmental issues.
12. FILM SHOWS & VIDEOS
• In the context of Environmental education , It

• Co-curricular activities are the true practical
experience received to students . The
theoretical knowledge gets strengthened when
a relevant Co-curricular activity is organized .
In the context of Environmental education Co-
curricular activities have an important role .
Through the practical experience students
acquire knowledge, and they use the
knowledge in their life also.
