  2. WHAT IS A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE • A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE IS A WAY OF LIVING THAT LOWERS THE RISK OF BEING SERIOUSLY ILL OR DYING EARLY. NOT ALL DISEASES ARE PREVENTABLE, BUT A LARGE PROPORTION OF DEATHS, PARTICULARLY THOSE FROM CORONARY HEART DISEASE AND LUNG CANCER, CAN BE AVOIDED.
  3. STEPS TO A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE
  4. STEP 1: GET ACTIVE FOR AN HOUR OR MORE EACH DAY • HAVE A MINI WALK • WORK A LOT • USE STAIRS AND AVOID ELEVATORS • DO MINI EXERCISES • DO CYCLING OR SWIMMING
  5. STEP 2: CHOOSE WATER AS A DRINK • DRINK 8 GLASSES PER DAY • PREFERABLY GO FOR MINERAL WATER • WATER IS A HEALTHIER DRINK THAN OTHERS • KEEPS US FROM THIRST • PREFERABLY DRINK 100% FRUIT JUICE

  7. AVOID EATING JUNK FOOD
  8. STEP 4: SWITCH OFF THE TELEVISION
  9. BE ACTIVE • EXERCISE ATLEAST 60 MINUTES PER DAY • IN SHORT DISTANCES WALK INSTEAD OF USING TRANSPORT • MAKE USE OF A BIKE SOMETIME. • EXERCISE WITH A FRIEND ITS MORE FUN

  14. EAT MODERATELY • IT IS EASY TO TRAIN YOURSELF TO EAT MORE AND MORE AND BY SO DOING CREATE AN IMPERIOUS, BUT FALSE, APPETITE. IT IS EQUALLY POSSIBLE TO CULTIVATE MODERATION AND BE SATISFIED WITH ONLY ENOUGH FOOD TO MEET YOUR NEEDS. • JUST EAT WHEN YOU HUNGRY AND STOP WHEN YOU FULL.
