4. When do we use past simple?
We use the past simple tense when:
1. The event is in the past.
2. The event is completely finished
i.e. we use the past simple tense to talk about an action or
situation either short or long in the past.
5. Let’s look at an example!
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was an Austrian musician and
composer. He lived from 1756 to 1791. He started composing
at the age of five and wrote more than 600 pieces of music.
He was only 35 years old when he died.
Note: was/lived/started/wrote/died are all past simple.
