Dr. Awad Hassan Mohamed Ahmed is a Sudanese ophthalmologist with over 40 years of experience. He has held several leadership roles within the Sudanese health system, including Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist for the Federal Ministry of Health, President of the Advisory Ophthalmology Council, and Country Director for Sightsavers Sudan. Throughout his career, Dr. Ahmed has focused on preventing blindness through outreach programs, workshops, and serving as the National Coordinator for Sudan's Trachoma Control Program.
