4. From my childhood, I had a desire to make a project. All
of a sudden I have got the chance from the department
of the Communicative English for making a project
report on Pelling tour. At the time of making the project
report on Pelling tour. I have received a lot of valuable
suggestions and assistance from numerous people at
different stages. At first I would like to acknowledge my
heart - felt gratitude to my course coordinator.
Professor Keya Ghatak for co - operation, inspiration
and enthusiasm. My special thanks and gratitude goes
to my other teacher’s professor Swarnali Sarkar,
Munmun Sengupta, Binoy Dangar, Partha Pratim
Mandal and my classmates who helped in all respects.
Firstly, I want to beg pardon from all the people whose
valuable time I wasted foe talking interview in order to
fulfil my long and cherished goal of writing project
reports.
5. My intention to write this project is to highlight the hard lifestyle of
people who live in the hilly area and the usefulness of the gift of nature
in the life of man. Just like the previous years, a tour has been arranged
this year also by the department of Communicative English to give us
some idea regarding the project writing on the basis of our practical
knowledge through travelling.
Travelling is the part of education. Helps us to know the unknown and to
see the unseen. This year we have got the chance of participating in our
tour to Pelling. It is a hilly area. It is full of natural beauty. The people of
this area have been enriched by the gift of nature. They are very honest
and sincere.
The scenic beauty of Pelling has totally made us spell-bound. We have got
the chance of paying a visit to eight important spots full of scenic beauty.
6. • Rimbi Water Fall.
• Khecheopalri Wishing Lake.
• Kanchandzonga Water fall.
• Rimbi Rock Garden.
• Pemayangtse Monastery.
• Changay Water Fall.
• Dentam Valley.
• Second Highest Hanging Bridge in Asia
(Singsore).
7. Today the human beings are very much busy to earn money and
spend money. They have no time to enjoy the beauty of nature.
They think that life is full of duties and responsibilities. So they
have no time to stand and stare. They don’t try to pay attention to
the beauty of nature. The role of nature in the life of human
beings is very important. Without the contribution of nature, it is
not possible for any human being to be a good citizen of the
world. The role of mountain and hill in Pelling is very much
important. Anyone can understand the valuable gift of the nature
to stand in front of the mountain of Pelling. Pelling is a
cosmopolitan town and it offers the tourists all possible amenities.
Pelling tourism is based on the scenic beauty of Himalayas. It has
many tourist spots to visit. There is very nice scenic beauty
. Sight scenes in Pelling attract us. Some of those immaculate the
combination of natural and man-made beauty such as Rimbi
Water Fall, Kanchandzonga Water Fall, Rimbi Rock Garden etc.

8. My project on Pelling tour has totally
fulfilled my long cherished desire to enjoy
the beauty of nature. The nature and
mountain have solved the basic economic
problem of many human beings. Some of
them earn money by arranging diff types of
cars for the tourists. As a result, it is very
clear that nature has a great role in the life
of students also. That friendly relationship
between man and nature can help the
student to be the good citizen of the world.
9. During the first half of the day from 8.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. we
have enjoyed the first four spots of scenic beauty. At first we
have gone to kanchandzonga Water Fall. The highest of the
waterfall running rushing down of water just like a restless
deer totally made us spellbound. We were under the
influence of Kanchandzonga Water Fall.
Kanchandzonga Water Fall at down our minds towards the
water running over the pebbles. We were so much charmed
that we did not want to come from that place. There was
also the system Rope Way from one end to another. We have
enjoyed the journey. By Rope Way from one end to another.
We were moved by the beauty of Rimbi Waterfall
Kecheopalri Wishing Lake. In the Kecheopalri Wishing Lake,
the lake was full of small fishes. The fishes come to the sides
to take bits of biscuits from us. We all made wishes too. In
front of the lake there was a room. (P.T.O)
10. In the room there was the image of Goutam
Buddha. In front of the Buddha, there was a
system of Lighting Lamp. The beauty of Rimbi
Rock Garden was totally different. In the lap of
nature this garden was totally different. In the
middle of the garden there was a restaurant in
order to serve the tourist. They provide the
tourist food and refreshment. We have taken
shelter at the restaurant to remove lag and
have taken our refreshment as well. There
were different types of flowers. Particularly
the red rose attracted my mind. The journey of
our first half was very much entertaining. We
have to come back to the hotel as we were
feeling very much tired and hungry.
11. From my childhood, I have been watching my friends
and others being very much self-centered. Sometimes
I don’t understand the reason of such type of their
behaviour. But my project taught me that the cause of
their such type of nature was the lack of love for
nature in them. There is a friendly relationship
between man and nature which help us to enrich
ourselves with some good qualities. So I’ve tried my
level best to make my classmate understand
everything with the help of experience in the lap of
nature by using the four skills of language listening,
speaking, reading, and writing.
*P.T.O
12. After paying a visit to Pelling and enjoying
the friendly relationship between man and
nature. I come to know that my Pelling
tour as a topic of my project becomes
highly successful. In the course of my travel
with my friends, we come closer though
closer though conversation. I think that my
project on Pelling tour will enrich the mind
of our classmates and others. Thus, I have
taken this project to aware people
regarding the beauty of nature especially
the mountain and friendly relationship
between man and nature.
13. The area of my project work refers to the vastness of
my subject. My project is not confined only to the
viability of introducing project based on Pelling Tour
and the subject matter is not confined only to a
certain area. So I have done a lot of survey work. We
had to collect information from our college and
people of nearby area of Pelling. According to the
profession of the people who came directly under my
survey were students of our college hundred
guardians, ten professionals, one Headmaster of the
school, one Principal of college, one journalist and ten
students of our department. In this sensitive area of
my study is not limited.

16. Time is a vital factor in making a project work. A project
work is an educational exercise in valuing a lot of research
and skilling work we must have a certain time span. In my
case when I come to know that I had to make the project, I
thought that it would be very easy and a simple matter. As
I proceeded with the project work, I found that there were
lot’s of work to do. At first I had to take interview of
people there which was more time taking work. It took
approximately seven days. Then I have to screen and write
down the data to save my ultimate goal. I got much
information from my tour and interview. In the research
work I spent nearly five days. So it took total twelve days
to complete the project. The project took so much time as
the whole work was totally unknown and new to me, but I
have enjoyed every spot of my project work.
17. To have a complete view of the entire
scenario, I have prepared different types
of questions. I have also used the four
skills of Communicative English in order
to get the answer of my questions.
Sometimes I have to request people to
get the answer of my questions. As a
result, different parts of information
become quite clear.
18. In preparing a questionnaire for a
survey I should say about the
involvement of my respected
teachers. I got all the guidance,
support and inspirations from my
teacher, they helped me to prepare
the survey sheet.
19. The whole project is carried out within a short
period of time. So while executing the various
operations of my project I felt a great feed
from classroom simulation. In this classroom
simulation interview, I got the opportunity to
use the different language functions like
enquiring, explaining, requesting and
reasoning. I also require the note taking, cross
questioning and arguing.
20. In the course of travelling we met different
people. We wanted to pay our attention to the
lifestyle of the hilly area. The style of the
people of hilly area. The life style of the people
of hilly areas are different from the rest of the
people. Our intention was to ask the hotel
manager regarding their lifestyle. So our
questions were as follows:
(P.T.O)
21. • How is the lifestyle the people of Pelling?
• How do they earn money?
• What is the process of their ritual?
• Why do they use different types of bits of
clothes?
• How do they overcome their problem of
life?
22. A) Form the hotel manager we come to
know that their lifestyle is very hard and
difficult. They have to work hard all day.
They have to face different types of
problems in their life. As it is a hilly area,
they can’t enjoy different types of facilities
just like the other people living in the plan
area.
*P.T.O
23. B) From some businessmen we come to know
that they earned money from car hotel
business. They can enjoy the facilities by
lending their cars to the tourists. Besides this
they can earn money for their living to land
rooms to the travellers. Some of them deals
with the business of woods in the forests there
are different types of profitable trees. They cut
and sell the woods as fuel and make furniture
from them. Their economic conditions is not a
very good one. Some of them are rich and
wealthy but majority of them have to bare the
strength of hard life.
*P.T.O
24. C) Their rituals are totally dissimilar
from ours’. We come to know from the
priests that, after the death their dead
bodies are put in the grave in a sitting
position. The outsiders have no right
to buy any car or to make a building. If
the outsider wants to be the citizen
there at first he had to marry a girl of
the hilly area.
*P.T.O
25. d) They use different types of bits of
cloths as they have the idea that these
bits of cloths will save their life from the
evil spirits.
e) From some well known person in
Pelling, I come to know that they can
overcome their problems with the help of
the physical strength. As the atmosphere
there is very good so most of them are
sound in health.
26. Now I am at the end of my project. I have
collected opinions from some educationists,
Doctors, Students, Guardians, Journalist,
Businessman etc. Moreover, I tried to cover all
types of people of our society, including children.
I tried to express all the related subjects of this
topic from the past to the future via the present.
So, finally I would say that I have taken the
project to create awareness regarding the
relation between man and nature among the
Students, Guardians, Teachers and
Governments.
27. • The bibliography is best on-
• Realistic knowledge from participation in
tour.
• Guidance from the co-ordinators and
teachers participated in tour.
