and hand which corresponds all body parts .
It’s a alternatives medical practices involving
applications of pressure to a specific points on
feets . Done without use of oil or lotion .
19
20. Reflexology also called zone therapy is based on
the principle that the hands and feet have the reflex
points that correspond to the body parts and
organs.
When the reflex area is massaged, squeezed or
pushed, it stimulates the corresponding organs in
that zone. 20
21. It encourages a beneficial effect on other parts
of the body, or to improve general health.
The main goal of foot reflexology is to provide
relaxation by maintaining or restoring a state
of health and relieving congestion or tension
in the zone.
21
23. Reflexologists use a map of feet where all the
organs, glands and corresponding parts of body
are laid out.
Toes reflect the head .
Beneath the toes on top part is neck line
Ball of foot reflect the chest, arch mirror the
digestive organs.
23
24. Heel and ankles reflects for reproductive
system.
Inside curves of each foot is spinal reflex .
24
25. Reflexologist says that the body contains an
energy field, invisible life force or qi, the
blockage of which can prevent healing.
Other reflexologist claim that more than 72, 000
nerves in the body terminate in the feet, when
stimulating them through massage, the
corresponding organ may stimulate.
25
26. • Other proposed effects of reflexology
includes:
- release of endorphins

for 5-10 second each.
Session should not be longer than 10-20
minute per foot .

29. On the bottom of each foot ‘walk 'thumb up from
the base of heel to each toe then press reflex
point with outer edges of thumb or tip of
forefinger :

glands
Pineal gland secrets melatonin controls circadian
rhythm

31. Chest/lungs calms breathing
Solar plexus /diaphragm encourages
relaxation and peacefulness
Neck shoulders release tension
Thyroid balances metabolism
31
32. Apply the relaxation techniques again and finish
with another thumb press on solar plexus on
