2. For the first step in making my
magazine front cover I started off
with a blank page. To do this I
went on file, new. International
paper then the size is A4

3. For the second step of my
magazine front cover I inserted a
picture. To do this I went on
file, open selected the picture I
wanted and then dragged it into
my ( international a4 size file
document on photoshop)

To insert the ‘DYNAMIC’ I had to do it on three different
layers. ‘DY’ on one layer, then the ‘N’ on a different layer
as I wanted it to be flipped the different way around and
then the ‘AMIC’ on the final layer. Then i linked them all
together therefore I could then move them and re-size
them and they would all be the same. I wanted the ‘N’ to
be red so it would stand out as it is different

5. Then I added the bar code. This has the
issue number and the price of the
magazine

6. Step four I added the ‘Exclusive Katy Trip To Success’ these are all on
different layers however linked together so if I wanted to move them
they would move all the same way and be the same size. I made the
exclusive red with a black underline so it would stand out and break all
the red up. ‘KATY’ is big, as that is the main headline therefore it needs
to be big and bold as she is the main image of my front cover. Trip to
success is black with a red outline around it to also make that stand out
so there isn’t too much red.

7. To add my first cover line I had to use the text box tool and
then write it in. However these are on separate layers as
they are different fonts and different sizes. I linked them
back together so if I wanted to move them they would move
as one.

8. To add the ultimate gig guide I had to also put these on
separate layers. ‘Ultimate’ is on one later, ‘gig’ is on
another and then ‘guide’ on the last layer. They are all
different sized however they all fit on top of each other.
The ‘Gig’ is the biggest as thats what is it all about and
some people might buy a magazine to see where their
favourite bands or singers a

9. Jake Bugg on tour is two separate lsyers as I
wanted them to be two different sizes but
however fit into each other.

10. ‘Hanging with the arctic monkeys’ is
on two separate layers. Arctic
Monkeys is in red as that is the name
of the band and people might be
attracted to that band and might by
the magazine just for that band.

11. Lastly I added the website, this will give the chance for the readers
to go on the website and get any another additional information
they need or want.
