2. Step 1
• I started by opening a
new document in
Photoshop.
• I set the paper size to
A4.

3. Step 2
• I placed my chosen
image into the centre
of the page.

4. Step 3
• I decided to delete the
images background to
make the image look
more professional;
using the ‘Polygonal
Lasso’ tool.

5. Step 4
• I made my coverlines,
graphic features
stand out by using
different tools like:
- A drop shadow
- Bevel & Emboss
- A stroke

6. Step 5
• I followed codes and
conventions by
having graphic
features behind cover
lines so they would
stand out.

7. Step 6
• I followed the codes and
conventions of music
magazines when creating my
magazine. For example I
created a masthead that is
placed in the top left corner.
• I also added my cover lines
around the image relating to
my chosen magazine genre.
• I also added the price onto the
bar code so the readers will
know how much the magazine
will be.
