2. To edit our interviews
we used Adobe
PremierePro CS6.
From this we were
able to create a
new project.
3. After selecting ’New
Project’ we then
could name our
video and select the
location of where it
would be saved.
4. The video
footage was
imported from
the A drive into
Adobe
PremierePro.
Video files could
then be
transferred to
the timeline.
5. To create a new
title I pressed
‘Ctrl T’, then I
was able to
name it an
appropriate
title.
6. I then created
the new title,
‘The Mobile
Network’.
From the
selection of
fonts we chose
an appropriate,
clear font and
its colour that
would be easily
visible against
the dark
background.
7. The new title
was then
dragged from
the project box
onto the
timeline in order
for it to appear
at the
beginning of
the video.
8. Then we started
editing the
video footage
we had filmed.
To clip out
certain parts of
the interview
that was
needed we
used the ‘Mark
in’ and the
‘Mark out’ tools.
This was then
placed in the
timeline along
with its audio.
9. To insert a
cutaway we
used the ‘mark
in’ and ‘mark
out’ tool to
select the part
that we
needed. After
that we inserted
the video
without
including the
audio.

10. We carried on
with the same
methods to edit
and insert the
interview
footage and
cutaways.
11. To add a sound
bed to the
video we chose
our music and
inserted it into
the project.
From the here
we were able to
cut the length
of the music in
order to make
sure it lasted the
same length of
the interviews.

12. As the sound
needed to be
louder in some
parts than
others we used
a tool that
allowed us to
alter parts of the
song in order for
the music to be
decreased
when needed.

13. We noticed that
the sound was
only playing
through the
right side of the
audio
output, the fix
this we added a
tool called ‘fill
left’ to allow
sound to be
played from
both sides.
14. To make the
overall effect of
the titles to
introduce the
interviewee, we
added the
transition
‘dissolve’ to
make the
transition more
smoother.
