Special Issue on
Advanced Monoclonal Antibodies for Asthma
CALL FOR PAPERSThe mechanism of action of monoclonal antibodies in the treatment of asthma is
believed to be multifactorial and includes effects mediated through altered pro-
duction of redox metabolites and regulation of production of known inflammatory
proteins.
We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review
articles that will stimulate continuing efforts to leverage biomarkers to improve
accuracy, discover the molecular pathology underlying allergic disorders, develop
strategies to treat these conditions, and evaluate the outcomes.
Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:
Targeted therapeutics for severe refractory asthma: monoclonal antibodies
Safety of monoclonal antibodies in asthma such as anti-IL5, anti-IL17,
anti-VCAM 1, Mepolizumab, Reslizumab, and anti-IL13
Real life data in allergic asthma patients on monoclonal antibody therapy
such as anti-IL5, anti-IL17, anti-VCAM 1, Mepolizumab, Reslizumab, and
anti-IL13
Effects of monoclonal antibodies with comorbid situations in asthma
Monoclonal antibody usage in pregnant asthmatics
