 The concept of centre of origng is given by N. I. Vavilo
Primary centreof origin
primary centre of origin may be defend crop plant
evolved from wild species in the area showing great diversity
is known as primary centre of origin.
secondary centre of origin
secondary centre of origin may be defend as some area
certain crop species show considerable diversity of form
although, they have not originated from such area which are
secondary centre of origin.
