e.g. Generally, there are more male administrators than women

■ Cultural perspectives
e.g. Some practices are still patriarchal especially among indigenous groups
■ Familial background
e.g. Other families are extremely conservative putting fathers as the sole authority
■ Religious beliefs
e.g. Some fundamentalist only view male figure as the real authority
