This document provides an overview of selection and editing tools in Photoshop, including:
- Selection tools like the marquee, lasso, and magic wand tools for making various shapes and color-based selections.
- Editing tools like the crop, slice, and healing brush tools for trimming, dividing, and removing flaws from images.
- Additional tools like the eyedropper, color sampler, and count tools for sampling colors, adding notes, and counting items in an image.
7. Lasso tools
Lasso tool is used to create irregularly shaped selection.it
includes the lasso for freehand selection.
8. Polygonal lasso tool
It is used to make selections by drawing a series of
straight lines to make a polygonal shape.
9. Magnetic Lasso tool
In this tool you click with in the image to start or begin
creating you’re your selection and drag the mouse
(having released the button) to create selection path.
10. Magic wand Tool
The magic wand lets you to select a consistently colored area
(for example , a red flower) without having to trace it’s outline ,
you specify the color range ,or tolerance , for the magic wand
tool’s selection.
11. Quick selection tools
This makes a selection by automatically finding and
following define edges of an object within an image.
12. Crop tool
The default tool in the tool group; Trims the area outside
the crop and includes all layers. Press Enter to crop or
Esc to cancel the crop.
13. Slice tool
Divides an image into smaller sections; commonly used
when saving an image for the web.
16. Color Sampler Tool
Allows you to view samples of color in the info panel by
clicking the image; you can create multiple samples.
17. Ruler Tool
Adjusts an image based on a line that is drawn or finds a
measurement by drawing a line from one point to
another.
18. Note Tool
Adds comments to an image in a precise location; notes can be
hidden or shown, but do not print.
19. Count tool
Counts the number of items in an image by adding a number each time you click the
canvas.
20. Spot Healing Brush Tool
Th default tool in the brush tool group; removes flaws in
an image based on surrounding pixels.
21. Patch tool
Replaces marked areas of pixels in an image with
preselected sampled pixels that include texture, lighting,
transparency, and shading.
23. Clone Stamp Tool
The default tool in the stamp tool group; duplicates a
preselected sample of an image over another area of the same
image or another part of any open document.
25. Magic Eraser Tool
Erases similar pixels based on the color selected and the
set tolerance; same as selecting with the Magic Wand
tool and then pressing delete.
