Janice Bryant Howroyd Receives the 2013 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur
of the Year Award in Greater Los Angeles Region
Janice Bryant Howroyd, CEO and Founder of The ACT•1 Group, was recognized as one of the recipients of the Ernst
& Young Entrepreneur of the Year in Greater Los Angeles award on June 18th at a gala event in Beverly Hills at the
Beverly Hilton Hotel.
The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year program is in its 27th year and is a global program that recognizes
company builders in over 140 cities and in more than 50 countries. Bernie Howroyd, Janice's husband and
president of The ACT•1 Group, also received this illustrious award in 1998.
Janice was unable to attend the gala and accepting the award on Janice's behalf (and pictured fifth from the left in
the photo above) was her daughter Katharyn Howroyd. The E&Y Entrepreneur awards program recognizes
outstanding high-growth entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as
innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. These finalists
and award recipients were selected by a panel of independent judge.
Regional recipients will now compete at the national level and winners will be announced at the annual awards
gala on November 16, 2013.
