1. AoC London Region Members’ Bulletin
8 February 2013 – Issue 129
Dear Colleagues
Next week AoC London and Regional Committee Principals have a liaison meeting scheduled
with senior colleagues in the Department of Business and Innovation and Skills.
I would also draw your attention to the AoC London MIS Managers’ Network meeting (15th
February) and our HE Coordinators Network meeting (26 February). Please let us know if you
are able to attend.
Also, in this week's bulletin you will find details of four free to attend regional events regarding
work experience and 16-19 Study Programmes. Our experience shows that London event
places go like hot cakes so if you are interested I advise you book early!
Best wishes
Caroline Neville

Royal Albert Hall Exhibition Comes to Kensington and Chelsea College
An inspiring Royal Albert Hall exhibition that celebrated the work of young photographers is
being shown again at Kensington and Chelsea College following its success.
The exhibition was the showpiece behind a pioneering project, run in partnership with the
College and the iconic London venue, which gave a group of
young people a life changing opportunity.
The 'Shooting Stars' project gave 13 young people who weren't
in education, training or employment the chance to gain a
qualification in photography and exclusive access to
photograph A-list events at the Royal Albert Hall.
Under the two year venture, led by College, the students
studied on a specially designed BTEC photography course to
gain the skills needed to be an event and portrait photographer.
The project led to the students capturing more than 4000
images of which a selection was featured in an exhibition
hosted at the Royal Albert Hall.
